Which team here is going to the Euros?

One wonders how Padraig Amond would fare in this match.

More questions than answers tonight.
McGeady, Murphy, Gibson and maybe some others are answering O'Neill's question with a fairly firm no so far...
TheOneWhoKnocks
31/05/2016, 7:17 PM
Hendrick, Clark and McClean only players emerging with any credit.
McGeady has been utterly anonymous. Feel for Hayes and Pilkington.

31/05/2016, 7:20 PM
Don't like McClean can see him getting worse and worse as the game goes on.its rhe kind of game he will get more frustrated and more frustrating to watch.

Utterly crap touch by McGeady..

I hear you but I worry that they are not the question...

Hollywood save by Given.
Westwood on at half time please.

Do we have to bring 23 to France?

I hear you. This is abject. But, the players look do disjointed and completely out of sync that it strikes me as down to the occasion rather than something chronic.
This is a million miles away from the last eight months - even if you consider MON's tactics completely turgid, you'd have to say that this is pretty far away from how he'd have us playing usually. I just think a lot of these guys are completely blowing it.
It may also be Cork's fault, still up for debate.

Reality check re: Christie tonight.
Useful going forward but a liability in defense.
Ward has been solid.

Where is Murphy he doesn't seem to be in the box and he doesn't seem to be supporting play

Most of them are jogging around at half pace. Nothing to worry about. This is just about fitness.
Given looks ropey though. I fear he might not be up to this any more.

I think Gibson is doing ok actually best of a bad bunch of midifielders
TheOneWhoKnocks

Gibson linking up the play for Belarus.

I can't defend Murphy anymore. I have been so patient with him but that is as terrible a striker's performance I have seen in a long time.
In fairness, it is his first game in two months.

For those of you who didn't get to see or haven't seen that half I'll try and sum it up for ye in as few words as possible.

Apologies if this has already been posted, but I haven't seen it yet: Arter is officially out (http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/36422348).
Stephen Quinn appears much too sound a guy to feel this way but, you know, in a strictly Euro 2016 POV this is turning into a good night...
TheOneWhoKnocks
31/05/2016, 7:33 PM
Murphy's best moment was when he passed the ball to McClean with his back.

Bunch of players happy enough to be in the squad. They'd rather play it safe and not get injured than try to push on and get a place on the team.

I'm glad I didn't sign up to Premier Sports again.
Norn Iron smashed Belarus the other night.
Has Gibson got out of first gear yet?
Hopefully a few changes at HT

The more I see the goal the worse Given looks. Don't think he gets off the ground at all, zero spring in his jump these days. I agree that Gibson probably best of a poor midfield, he's trying to be positive but some poor touches by team mates and a couple of risky balls haven't helped him.
TheOneWhoKnocks
31/05/2016, 7:40 PM
Richard Keogh totally got sucked in for that goal and left Christie exposed.

Yup. Gibson didn't cover himself in glory either.
Speaking of, Gibson always has quality and always looks to get on the ball. But, more than ever, he looks like a disadvantage when we don't have the ball. And we won't have that much of it in France.

31/05/2016, 7:46 PM
I agree.
Murphy can't score from an open ball with no one around him.
Doyle all fcuken day ye **** O'Neill.

Based on them 45mins how can Daryl Murphy go ahead of Doyle.

I expect a better second half, that does not mean it will be good though, might just be slightly less shyte.
Indeed I would put money on it :)

This performance from Murphy is getting to Paul Butler levels.

The only consistency with Friday night is were unable to find the first man still from a cross always hitting the first defender
Clark is everywhere Christie good going forward Gibson befininf to control.

Clark has shown confidence bringing the ball out of defense. Good to see.

Murphy nowhere near the two corner brutal and he close to it and all.jees I'm really ****ed off with O'Neill.
Clark our greatest goal threat today.
