Paddy Barrett....
Paddy f***ing Barrett
Centre Half. Edge of the box, switches onto his left foot and curls it beautifully into the top corner, and he tops that by smashing one from 40 yards with his right foot.
Hes on a perfect hattrick and Kenny takes him off.

Right thing to do.Vital player for Dundalk now with Gartland out injured,no point risking him with the game won.
When is the draw?

Couldn't get to Terryland tonight, but great to see Galway into the semi-final. I was impressed with Paddy Barrett when he was here for 2nd half of last season.

After the Derry match on Friday, Kenny was saying that Paddy Barrett strikes the ball like Ronald Koeman. It was more like Ronald McDonald during that game though.

Hes not wrong. I was joking before the goals saying he looked top heavy, more like something out of Mean Machine, but then... I still can't get over those goals, or the fact that we had him on trial last season.

Say Boyle is out suspended and Gartland and Barrett start..well they'd hardly be bullied much at least!

That's the difference between Cork and Dundalk: Cork's defenders won't be bullied either, but they wouldn't disgrace themselves by committing a foul in the process. The fact you'd even entertain the idea of a Dundalk player being suspended shows just how far you have to come up there and shows Stephen Kenny's football revolution up for the sham that it is.

Now thats just low!! No need to stoop to King Kenny's shady past...

Not sure whether that's good or bad for our miniscule hopes of getting back into it :(

Doubt it in our case none that started Will start on Friday I'd imagine apart from Buckley maybe. Very disappointed personally for us to go out , would've been nice to have a shot at getting to a cup final. 5 excusite penalties from pats to be fair though.

Dan Murray will start Friday. Billy Dennehy and Mark O'Sullivan played roughly an hour each after coming on as subs, Billy will definitely start, Sully could too.

Pats will have (I'd imagine) one of McCormack/Chambers, Bermingham and Byrne start. Forrester will too but don't think he touched the ball before his penalty.
Enjoyable game to be fair. Big positives for Pats with the performances of Bayly, McGrath and Markey.

Only 17 (for a few more days). He's had a busy few months with Irish schoolboys (scored winner v England), Pats under 19s (helped win the league) and he had his last day of secondary school yesterday too.

Unbelievable talent for his age he is a brilliant prospect as is McGrath the u-19's set up is starting to bear fruit. It was as a very enjoyable game very open with chances for both sides , delighted to go through with so many young players in side.

Is it a coin toss and then Captains decision which end the shootout happens? Great penalties from Pats and into the shed end. I think the silence ala rugby is more likely to be a distraction than the expected jeering.

I also think a hush of silence is worse for a player standing up to take a penalty. Don't expect anything less though from those Munster folk..soon as someone mentions penalty there's a chorus of 'ssshhh' around the ground ;)

Cork conceding penalties would be novel considering they never tackle or foul, maybe that rattled them a bit!

Very badly marketed by the looks of things
Nesta99
22/05/2015, 6:23 PM
Aye in Cork's absence of any marketing they should take a leaf out of Brays marketing plan of having the PA system so loud the entire city knows there's a game on!

No extra time please the league match in a few days seems to have taken the edge off our game.It would be nice to make the final but wouldn't be in tears the three points next Friday is much more important.

I'm easily pleased, I demand at least the treble - the only club of the modern era to do since old Derry City folded!

Treble talk sidestepped by Kenny as Dundalk head west
Dundalk manager Stephen Kenny has refused to discuss the possibility of a domestic treble heading into today's EA Sports Cup semi-final in Galway.http://www.independent.ie/sport/soccer/league-of-ireland/treble-talk-sidestepped-by-kenny-as-dundalk-head-west-31422505.html

No Cork just dont do fouling or injuring players themselves but if anyone does it for them then its ok...the cant tarnish the Halos now!
and i thought that I was far from being greedy claiming the treble - the Leinster senior cup can go elsewhere as a token of goodwill :p

I wish injuries on everyone. In fact, being a Harps fan, I've largely grown to encourage injuries to opposition players.

Starting to catch onto this philosophy, if the lads faster than you, beating you, or generally just annoying you, kick him to the ground. It's working well so far.

Didn't even notice they were playing. Few injuries there would be good too.
Nothing serious, few weeks here and there for a couple of key players will do fine.

Two games, two 0-0s, two 4-2 on penaltieses. Poor game in Tallaght, wind ruined it for both teams but Pats deserved it on the balance of play. Ah well, at least I can watch the final on TV.
