Tbf, don't think it matters what we say on here, doubtful any of the players/mangt.staff would ever read this...

Thank God for that.

They already have the attitude of hedgehogs when it comes to playing decent opposition. We don't need you making it even worse.

I'm flattered.

There was more clowning around from O'Shea and Wilson than Ward last night. I hope Martin is working on adequately defending set pieces is all I'll say.
Our defending from corners was dreadful. Gibraltar nearly scored twice. It was the same against Serbia and Turkey too. It's not like the warning signs haven't been there.

Ward is what he is. We've got to live with his limitations, but I think some criticism is OTT.

Here's a very well thought out piece offering suggestions on what needs to be done to take something from Germany.

Good read. It can be done.

Funny how that Poland result took the wind out of the sails. Put a sour spin on yesterday. And, of course, now the thinking is we have to face not just Germany in their own back yard, but a German team with a point to prove.

But even if Gibraltar were woeful, the players should be properly buoyed for the first time since pre Euros 2012. I doubt any of them thought they would ever win a match 7-0 in a green shirt. McGeady, Hoolahan and McClean all look confident. At least we're going in with the right attitude.

I could have sworn it was Wilson who was in lala land at that set piece.

It could well have been. I wasn't singling out Ward from set pieces.

I heard St. Ledger posts on here from time to time.
