Cathedral Celtic 2 -2 dillons cross
dillons cross very fortunate to get a point in the end.
cross goal scored from a corner that was a goal kick so they'll take a point gladly after a goal from monty seemed to b the winner late on but cross spoiled the party with the equaliser.

I dont know what game you were watching, Dillon's were dominant in the first half and could have been two or three up a half time, Cathedral had the better of the first 20 mins of the second half and took their chances but I think a draw was fair, and by the way, that ball was deflected for a corner off a defender.

I was there and am a neutral I was also behind the goal for the 90 mins I seen it hit of the cross player last.
The goalkeeper kept dillons cross in the game 2nd half. Just call it as I see it bud. I also hear glen Celtic B who were missing half a team put the cross to the sword up on mount silverheight.shocker of a pitch that one. How it gets the nod of approval every year baffles me.

I suppose thats the joy of football, people will have different opinions. We went out with the wrong attitude against the Glen and in fairness to them they made us pay. Silverheights has the best drainage in Cork, very rarely a game gets called off, for all its faults its not the worst pitch to play on.

Tricksey, the point being made is that the AUL & officials are leaving themselves open to unnecessary grief. Seemingly, it didnt effect the game...............but, if it had done, afterwards is too late to fix it.

We have had an official play a game last year on a horrendous pitch cos the league challengers (containing his son & son in law) wanted the 3 points from the relegation battlers. He didnt even check the pitch - walked out to centre circle with ball in his hand and plonked it into the muck! I laughed as I heard the squelch from the sideline!! In this case, he did not check the pitch and therefore did wrong, but either way, the AUL and official are leaving themselves open to unecessary grief.

Is it fair to say our league is becoming a controversial laughing stock ? ....
