Gaa are looking to get rid of u21 grade , what I mean bye teams struggling not really talking about league positions but actually trying to get lads on field there is a stigma on playing for b teams

Totally agree. It's a shame that we are losing these youth players because there nothing for them between youth and junior level. A lot of people give up there time and effort to bring these youths through the schoolboys underage levels. Just to then see them drop away after youth level as there is no stepping stone up to junior level.

Great wins for Town and Celtic in the league. Hard luck to the Wildies. They put up a great fight against Carrick

Some disgrace michaels had to travel all the way up to Roscommon only for the pitch to be deemed unplayable. Still they will get the tie at home. I also here michaels won the annerville award for soccer. Well done to them but Celtic must feel very upset after winning the league and getting to the Munster junior cup final. I heard who was on the panel and I think Celtic would have to do a lot more for some of these lads to vote for them. Still that's awards for you, there is always somebody who feels hard done by

Who would you have as favourites next week when Carrick play Celtic. I think Celtic have a bit more up front but Adrian Walsh is top class keeper. Should be a dinger!
Were Michaels not given the option of an alternative pitch - none available? Hibs in Waterford moved their match when their pitch was unplayable yesterday (a great performance to knock out Ballymun)

To be honest Celtic don't feel one bit 'upset' or 'hard done by' for not winning the annerville award (whatever that is). The only awards/trophies Celtic are interested in are the ones you win on the pitch. Actually if I had a choice between that award and 3 points in Thurles yesterday I'd take the 3 points every time. So I can assure you there is no need to feel sorry for us at all.

It's the Cidona award. I never said I felt sorry for you or the club. I just expressed an opinion that ye could argue that the club should have won the award as recognition for a great year. I'm surprised as an officer of the club you didn't know what the Annerville award was. Good win away in Thurles

Not sure what you are trying to say but I'm pretty certain 'aligned' is not the word you were looking for.

I don't know why you keep referring to me as an officer of the club. If you are keen on revealing identities who are you? It's not so much that I don't know what the cidona awards are it's just that I'm not particularly interested in them. Why would we want a sporting panel to declare that we were the best soccer team in South Tipp last season when winning the league proved it.

That's true. Celtic were by far the best team in tipp last year. I'm just a little surprised that it wasn't honoured by the annerville awards but as you say your not bothered by it.

It would be nice for any club to win, Clonmel Celtic would have been delighted if they had won it, but it's not Something that club even thought about. They certainly have no issues over it, why would they? Congratulations to St Michaels it was fantastic achievement by them.

Yea massive wins for both the table is shapin up nicely i fear for cahir dont think they'l pick up enought points to stay up to close to call with the other 4 teams at that end. Town will need a few results to go there way while winning there remaining games its not impossible but will be very tough. Michaels are slight favourites but still have Celtic twice so its shapin up for a great finish.

Dissapointing result for Celtic in Munster. They haven't faired to well I'm competitions they would have hoped to go fat and possibly win. They have of course still got the league to try and retain.

i was in Thurles today. Good win for a depleted Town. Keith Cashmsn's third goal was worth the trip from Clonmel

In the last couple of months Town lost in Roscommon and more recently against the Bridge yet on neither occasion do we hear anything from you. Yet anytime Celtic lose the ref has hardly blown the whistle and you're on here with some patronizing comment like 'Celtic must be disappointed......' I don't know if you remember a quiz show called Mastermind but if you were on it your specialized subject would be the 'bleeding obvious'. Of course Celtic are hugely disappointed to lose big games so don't feel the need to post such meaningless posts. Focus on your own club as we see your posts for what they really are I.e sly digs at our club.

I'm not getting sly digs at anyone. I've praised Celtic too by the way. I'm not getting into a childish argument with you. But I've huge admiration for your club and all the clubs in south tipp.

Until somebody decides to take a stand and do something then Celtic and town deserve to be treated like this,if you allow it to happen your just as guilty,in fairness if I was a saints man I would be delighted, everyone of us would all love our team to get this kind of advantage on a regular basis, was probably a long time since it's been this blatant though haha

It's not the suspensions, its the timings. Why were these suspensions only announced before the disciplinary committee himself fixed Cetlic against his own St. Michaels.

You can't appeal a suspension for yellow cards.

You can't appeal a suspension for yellow cards.

Of course not but it's blatant cheating by the tsdl and surely there is something that can be done,I genuinely don't believe it would be allowed happen in Limerick or Dublin, they just would not stand for it

This carry on has been going on by him for so long. He has no shame in what he is doing. Maybe some sort of petition of the TSDL clubs should be done to show their discontent of how the league is unfairly managed by this person.

well played by the town boys. get the celtic boys riled up for a game that (town) need a celtic win as much as celtic need 1. i know there is a conspiracy and tbh it does look bad on saints the timing of the fixture coinciding with the suspensions but correct me if im wrong, this game was fixed for sun 5th jan and was called off over the weather, were the celtic players suspended that day yes or no just curious??. the following 7 weeks between then and now saints had, 12th jan fai abondoned in rcommon, 18th jan corbally mjc, 26th jan balaghdereen in fai, 2nd feb was tipp cup week v saints b called off over weather, 9th feb away glen celtic in fai, 16th jan mjc v kilreen called off bereavement in kilreen camp so played saints b in d called off tipp cup game, 23rd feb kilreen in mjc. as well as the above saints have not yet played celtic in lge so (will i get a piece of chalk ) :) :).

No it's just very coincidental that the suspensions were made last Sunday night in the lead up to this game. When was the committee meeting that these suspensions were decided? There was a player that had been suspended the wk before for 4 yellow cards when was that committee meeting held. Is it a regular thing that more that one disciplinary meeting is held within roughly a fortnight of each other. Those 4th yellow cards were picked up just 2 wks previously, is the committee that efficient that all players who pick up 4th yellow cards receive their ban within 2 wks? As I said though it's most definitely just coincidental.

Pony have Celtic considered an appeal or any sort of reaction?

There will be a 'reaction' from Celtic after the hysteria has died down but they won't be broadcasting it to the muppets that inhabit this loony bin.

I'm curious as to why it's an 11am kick off Sunday?? I know Paul Breen has to travel to the FAI Awards ceremony in Dublin that evening (great achievement btw) but the League would hardly schedule a ko time to suit one player and inconvenience many others i.e. all the Celtic players and supporters who regularly attend 11am Mass on Sunday morning ;). Seriously though, a later kick off would have attracted a larger crowd and as Celtic will be missing half their team I'm sure St Michaels could have managed without Paul for this one occasion???

I genuinely hope that you do in fact voice your concerns. I honestly believe that even if it wasn't a conspiracy that the league should have at least realised how this would look.
I checked the Celtic webpage and it must be the first time that you haven't had a preview to the weekend matches. Probably correct not to say anything.
for purely selfish reasons, I'm glad the game is on early as it will enable me to attend the Town match in the afternoon. However as ever your point is well made

Big win for Town today. Had they only drawn the league was certainly gone. Fair play to the boys, they battled all the way. Hard on Peake who were much better than the reverse fixture a few weeks ago and they deserved a point. The win keeps our slim chances of the league alive.

Tipperary Cup, Quarter final draw:

St Michael’s AFC v Slieveardagh United FC

Tipperary Town FC v Donohill and District FC

Suirside FC v Clonmel Town FC

Old Bridge FC v Bansha Celtic or Galbally United FC

Another away draw for Town. Don't think the juniors or the youths got a home draw this season.
