I see Cashel have 3 suspended now, just in time for their fixture against St. Michaels next week. If they win the league in this manner they should hang their heads in shame. Maybe it's time for clubs to think about joining other leagues that are run fairly.

To be fair, It's not st Michaels fault. Have Celtic written to the league or higher Pony? Plus Celtic also need to address their disciplinary record

Why should St Michaels hang their heads in shame, get a grip, a horrific post, its nothing to do with the players, lay your blame somewhere else! St Michaels are a far superior side with plenty of depth in their squad. Even with full outfits the Cooke Park men would dispose of Celtic and ourselves. Hoping for a good game today in Cooke. best of luck to David and the team!

League well and truly over after Towns draw with Cahir. We created some good chances especially in 2nd half. Fair play to Cahir's keeper who pulled off some great saves. Michaels would want to really implode not to win it from here.

Hearing Celtic are missing over half the team this week. Players heading off on a stag. Any truth in what I'm hearing.

Heard that too. Not sure how many are gone or who exactly

Apparently so. It's poor form that they couldn't/ wouldn't fulfil the fixture. I noticed yesterday that there was no mention on their webpage about the match.
There are smaller clubs scraping teams every week in tsdl and will always fulfill fixture by hook or by crook. Dissappointing that a big fixture like this goes to wayside

It's a shame that this should happen. It's these game's a lot of people look forward to every season. From what I heard, the manager was made aware of this stag well in advance and never acted and this how this situation happened. Maybe the usual Cetlic guys that are on here can throw some light on how this could happen.

Celtic can only blame themselves for allowing this to happen. They can't blame the TSDL in this situation. I do think the Celtic lads had every right to voice their concerns on how the TSDL desciplinary committe carry out the suspensions process. It is only fair that a player who has received a fourth yellow that he is suspended for the next game and not a couple of games later. Have to say the TSDL seem to have taken this approach over last couple of week's as we are seeing player suspensions weekly on the TSDL website. This can only be good and fair for the game in TSDL.

I see on the TSDL website that this game is listed as OFF. Does anyone know what the story with this game is it off or a walkover for town. Nothing on Celic website.

I hear Cashel only had a scratch team today. At least they had the decency to fulfil the fixture unlike Celtic.
Michaels on a great run. What odds on them winning 4 trophies this season

Just read an apology and explanation on the Celtic webpage. Fair enough and well done to them for that. Hopefully the game can be refixed

Tipp FM are a disgrace. St Michaels make it through to the FAI junior cup semi final, Clonmel Town u-13's are in national cup semi final and it got about three minutes on extra time last night. It's a Gaa station, the treatment of other local sports is a disgrace. They give minimum attention to local soccer. In comparison to other local stations they are miles behind in terms of local sport coverage.

True (have I actually agreed with Complexman on something ;)). I think however you should send your email to Tipp FM as you're preaching to the converted here. Actually what is more disgraceful is that they don't have the decency to explain why they don't invite the TSDL PRO onto the programme anymore. Until they do explain his omission (he is after all PRO for TSDL) I think all clubs should boycott 'Extra Time'. Liam Browne is a decent guy doing a good job. He gets air time on about 2 to 3 programmes and then is 'dropped' with no explanation. (Maybe they did explain but if so I missed it. I switch off most times lately as it's hard to listen to 30/40 mins of incoherent GAA gibberish)

Ha ha. I think you will find we agree on more things than we disagree. I think it's pointless contacting Tipp FM. Soccer is way down on their list. The Tipp hurling managers brother is the boss, so it would be a waste of time

They should have fielded. Not good enough. Did the same v Town. For a club that is striving to be one of the biggest in the country, they aren't going about in the right way. I heard at work today that they were struggling but I really thought they would at least get 11 or 12 bodies. I'm sure Michaels aren't happy. Imagine the league will fine them. Feel sorry for Karl and Kenny. Two good guys but they have been let down badly

Its a disgrace if you ask me league champs to not been able field a team. serious work needs to be done to sort this out makes the league out to be a joke.
Very poor reflection on premier league in tsdl with all these walkovers. Did cahir park fail to field versus saints aswell early in the week or was that off over something else

It's know way to behave. Clubs should be fined. Clonmel Celtic are league champions and I would expect better but maybe they just could not get the lads together. They have been going on for the last two years about this massive squad, well where was it last week. Still we are seeing more and more of it and clubs need to try harder to fulfil these fixtures. It's not fair on the other teams. TSDL need to look at ways of trying to ensure thus doesn't happen again.
It will be interesting to see what Celtic say about it and how the league react.
Also I heard that Jamie was stepping down as Town manager. I think he is doing the correct thing, he has had three years but you just sense it's as far as he can go with them. Just hope he can go out on a high with a Tipp cup

mid week games must be hard on clubs with players working, just my opinion that's all. I think the tsdl should look at it in the future. could celtic not play on the sat night.

I don't think Clonmel Celtic will do anything other than apologise. They had been led to believe that they would have enough to play the game on Friday night but through other circumstances some players became unavailable shortly before they were due to depart leaving them in a position where they could not get replacements in time. There were a number of injuries and players who we're working but the club believed it could still fulfil the fixture. Some people have implied that the club made a decision to simply not bother with the fixture which is not true whatsoever. The club is disappointed & tried everything to avoid this situation but it was a case of simply not having enough players, 8 on the night, to travel. I don't believe any club wants to not fulfil its duties and Clonmel Celtic as much as anything is disappointed that this was the case. To address complexman on his comment about the club having a massive squad, if you have 30 players but only 8 are available with an hours notice what can the club do? As I said at the start all the club can do is apologise.

It's a shame fellas can't be arsed to make themselves available. I hear there was a mix up with the referee today in the bridge v Peake game, the match had to be called off. I played Sunday league in England and if you didn't fulfil a fixture you were fined, then docked points.

Funny game tonight , saints probably shaded it but lack of atmosphere was apparent and played like preseason friendly with no bite , great goal to win it but town keeper won't be happy
