Heard tonight in pub that Town v Bridge is off tomorrow. No ref available. What is that all about? Sounds dodgy

That's bull****. The game was originally fixed for 11 and both clubs were contacted and told the ref that was down to do the game was i available due to work. They were asked if they could play at 5 but the we ( the bridge)would have been missing players due to work and GAA. Therefor the game was called off

if ye had players unavailable due to work or other sports its the right thing to do. lets hope the tsdl make this rule for all clubs in all leagues as we know that some clubs have asked for games to be moved or called off and were told NO by tommy lewis...

2 sent of in bansha tipp town game, but would have to ask why there wasn't more sent off. when 2 players raise their hands to each other they should both go not just one....bansha deserved the 3 points better team by far...j teehan as a ref time to retire.

Your comment on the referee is an absolute disgrace,if referees pack it in we have no games, that man has been a fantastic servant to the tsdl and you will struggle to find any of the players say a bad word against him,an honest guy who always does his best, disgusting comment on a forum

The refs head off to games and are on there own. There expected to ref games with no help and then when lads start acting to fools there in a bad position. Send lads off for fighting lads might turn on them. A handy few pounds lads say I don't tink so!!

Interesting start to the 1st Division. All teams bar Two Mile Borris have dropped points after only 2 games. Could be a very tight league this year

Bansha will win division 1 this year , should be pushed close by Cullen Lattin and maybe borris. Although borris were very average last season so I can't see them winning it. Tipp town, wildies and Galbally neither as strong as recent years but on their day will give anyone a game.your right addict should be a tight league this year. Premier division looks like its gonna be split into 2 halves by October with top 4 and bottom 4. Cahir favourites for the drop but glengoole might put up a battle and played well against saints yesterday in Cooke park.

Yeah it is going to be a battle royal between glengoole, cahir and cashel. Think cashel will be alright. Can't see cahir or glengoole picking up more than 6 points this year to be honest. Can see Cashel getting the better of both of those teams to stay up. Bansha probably will be favorites alright for div 1. Strong team on paper but had a shock in the first game so you never know. Not too many games that you could call with certainty on a sunday morning before kick off.

have saints lost players or what or are Celtic just that bit better

I have seen saints play this season and I think they will be the team to beat this season. Good strenght in dept and a few good signing from limerick. Celtic will be there as will town but saints to top them both. Just my opinion.

Have to say i agree. Went to see them at the weekend and they seem to be building from the back again like all good saints sides. Jimmy carr not yet up to speed and should have won nine or ten nil. Very impressive. On the other hand i know villa were missing one or two but my god they were awful

I don't think having 3 internationals in your squad should automatically make you favourites to win the league? You need a big squad of 20-22 and maybe people think Celtic have a better quality squad which is why people are tipping them for the league. I don't think there'll be much between the two. And with all due respect to James Walsh, surely there must have been some Junior Centre half somewhere in the country that deserved an international call up over the last 6/7 years. Don't know of many internationals that have held on to a place for so long.

I think James has been an outstanding centre half, one of the best ever. I know a lot of lads don't like him and given your involvement with Clonmel Celtic you are suggesting that Craig Condon and Simon Scully are worth a call up. I don't think they are up to that standard yet but no doubt they have the potential. I can't understand why Evan MaGuire didn't make it.

Sure what chance have Villa got, they have a huge battle with Gaa since the day the club was founded in 1967,Thurles Sarsfields is one of the biggest and most successful clubs in the country so the onus is firmly on Villa to meet that challenge and get innovative and passionate soccer men into the club...so what do they do in the battle with Gaa? They post up the draw for this years hurling and Gaelic football games on their Facebook page...You actually couldn't make this stuff up

Did you ever think that it might be better perhaps to work hand in hand with other sports than take your ball into the corner and refuse to play ?

As usual you miss the point and talk about something you know nothing about, Villa have tried to liaise with Durlas og with regard training nights so the kids can play with both teams only to be told where to go...the youths lost 7-1 to clonmel town with 6 players missing due to a mid final, so working hand in hand is not an option but promoting our competition is a shrewd tactic...reverse pyschology...master stroke!!!! I'd say thurles SARS will be posting up the Oscar traynor draws..il stay tuned!!!

In fairness I made no mention of Condon or Scully. I can express an opinion without it always being related to Clonmel Celtic. To suggest James Walsh's best days might be behind him at international level does not mean I don't like the guy. I don't even know him.

well in fairness peake werent complaining about the gaa over the past ten or so years when they have had some very good players come out of the club and win stuff too remember. Just because the team isnt doing well now, its sometimes easy to blame outside influences instead of looking in house. Im not saying that peake arent doing things correctly because i dont know but ya, putting up the hurling championship fixtures for next summer on your football clubs website, instead of promoting your own fixtures and games, strange one!!

went up to see peake against borris at the weekend and was pleasantly suprised. Good performance against an unbeaten borris side so far. There are about four or five villa players who would get on towns, saints and celtics teams. They just need a bit more strength in depth with the youngsters. Well done to the manager for once again doing a top job

Didn't see the game obviously but saw Villa against St Michaels, It's the worst Villa side in a decade, they will ship a few more heavy defeats, very very poor,10-0 would have been a fair result the same day,6-0 was no reflection and nobody want's to see that because they bring something to the league, the Tipp cup final last year showed that

borris were short at least 4 from their first team and villa never really dominated them, micheal ryan will be a big addition to villa now he is recovered & noel kent is a quality player, i'm sure villa will get stronger as the season goes.
