Crap performance by us today Granville well worth their win, they missed a pen too and should have had at lest one other pen, well done to them and best of luck from here on..
I dont ref bash but mike weldin is arguably the worst around and not just for us this morning, just makes a mockery of a hard weeks training/matches to arrive on this mornin and see him in charge, twice he set up an attack for Granville by gettin in the way of the ball but anyway as I said he should have awarded Granville three pens.. Took his 45 euro at the end happily enough.

MoyRoss1 pike 3
MoyRoss were on top in the first half with pike missing 2 sitters in the first half moyRoss went one up near the end of the first half one nil half time pike came out a bit stronger in the second half and got the equaliser moyross missed a few chances which might have went in on another day but it wasn't to be pike pushed on and scored another 2 game was more or less over then the ref today was pretty poor for both side's making some bad decisions but that's to be expected these day's

Some start to the season for pike, lost a few players and still playing well. Hope they can keep it up till end of season. Moyross have been disapointing, many peoples favourites at start but long way to go yet
Fairkop

great start from pike but if you are moyross its the two below them you are chasing.they can not let the points gap get any bigger though or they will be out of the race for promotion.
Why all the concern for Moyross lads??? 11 teams in this division.

Tis goin to be a good league.A lot of teams in contention and again the winter time is when the league is really won depending who puts in the hard extra yards on the training pitch.
Hollywood Hogan
10/09/2012, 9:57 PM
With the squad they have assembled and the way they were flying up the leagues, they were surely favs for the league. Finding life a lot tougher now though. Valid point from fairkop, only 5 points behind mungret and summerville
Fairkop
10/09/2012, 10:03 PM
and most if not all these teams have or will be discussed in some form on this thread throughout the season, moyross are many peoples favourites to go up given their recent surge up the divisions and the squad they have assembled,so the inconsistent form they currently have is naturally going to be the topic of some discussion.........must get stuck into granville soon...loads to talk about there?

get well soon to j.corbett, gentleman on and off the pitch.moyross losing that one would not have been good for their promotion prospects.whats the story with caherconlish 7 games no win, relegation fodder at the moment thought they would have been pushing near the top.

It should have been abandoned and the ref should have made the decision to call it off
referee cannot abondon the match because of injury, unless both sides agree to it.
he can call a halt(like the a/annacotty/pike match) if he deems players safey is an issue due to fading light.
was there any score in it when the injury occurred?(not that it should matter)

You'd imagine it will be replayed, if as u said 60 mins was all that was played , u cant legislate for bad injuries and long hold up but in all fairness.. Surely there was no need to have two more evening games , wer wat ahead id scheduale in terms of games played by now. Tough luck on moyross with all the serious injuries seems Like yer cursed at the minute. Some of the injuries fellas are gettin out there are ver very nasty

Have Shannon town a new pitch?? Heard they have a nice new set up

Ya Booster Shannon Town have a new pitch. They opened it last year. It's about a 3 minute walk from Corrib Drive.
It's a good pitch alright if i'm not been bias. The club have spent a lot of money on it in the last 2/3 years.
If i remember correctly Zizou made his come back for Granville on it last year.

Shannon 3 Caherconlish 2. Good game of football last night, must say the pitch last night was in great condition. We went 1 up with a good finish by Ken Buckley. We should have added another 1 or 2 before Caherconlish scored to make it 1 all. They had another great chance to go 2-1 up but there center forward hit the crossbar with his header. Gary O Connell put us 2-1 up with a super finish. 2-1 HT. Early in the 2nd half there keeper pulled off a good save to keep it 2-1. Carherconlish upped there game & missed a few good chances to equalize. They got a deserved equalizer with about 25 mins to go & then had a good shout for a peno which was not given. Danny Sweeney scored the winner from a corner with about 15 mins to go.

Good report there gerardkelly..I went in to watch this game last night and as a neutral I can't understand how both clubs are in bottom half of table., an excellent nights entertainment even if it did get fairly heated in last 15-20 mins..both sides really went for it full trottle.that claim for a penalty in my opinion was not a penalty defender clearly got the ball even the forward didn't argue.ref might have given a back pass though .i can't believe a premier team haven't poached the number 9 for caherconlish. They called him Rooney could be a nickname .. Some player.. All in all well worth the €5 in.. Must also agree that the pitch looked immaculate best I've seen it in a while ..

what is your facination will all thing janesboro? very easy to cast doubt on a refs honesty hiding behind an avatar. maybe if you meet G,Clancy you can explain your opinions of his honesty to his face.
sundays match will be a very hard game againist an improving Corbally squad. hopefully the weather will hold up.

Caherconlish 3-2 Summerville ...Wet morning but the pitch held up great was always going to be a tough game, We took lead around half hour mark with a curler from outside the box , Well deserved too although was fairly even up to that point, Summerville equalised from a free kick the slipped through our keepers hands unluckily ., But we notched again just before half time to go in 2-1 ahead, Played our best bit of football all game to score the 3rd one, summerville rattled us for the last half hour and pulled one back but we managed to hold on thank god our 1st 3 points of the season and 2nd win in the space of a week onwards and upwards from here on out
