Can't see Galway getting the goals and not leaving yawning gaps at the back that you could fit several cows through

7 Yellows and 2 Reds, madness.
Have you not seen Mons this season? Filthy isn't the word. There'll be more in the second leg.

Filthy may not be the word, but bitter definitely is.

Do our 57 include the ones received last night?

Some bad spellings there on our teamsheet...not the first time it's happened though.
It's since Jumbo took over and started doing the teamsheets. Someone should really tell him how to spell his players' names.

Quality.
That tackle was brilliant. Yob had all four of his limbs off the ground and around the Mons player.

The ref really lost the plot last night. He was atrociously bad.

Having said that, we huffed and puffed without creating a real chance all night. We just have to work towards getting a Division One license and hopefully we'll find a few players somewhere.

The Monaghan left winger was excellent. Is he one of the Brennans?

About 14 of Limericks came against Shels in Tolka over the two games and I would think most Shels fans would agree 70% where ridiculous. We got 7 up there a few weeks ago in the league and the Shels lad doing the updates even said there wasn't a single bad tackle in the game.

Monaghan should have had a player sent off against us a few weeks ago also for a two footed tackle on Gaffney and it was also followed up soon after by another shocking tackle on Gaffney 5 minutes later.

Monaghan weren't a filthy team when they visited Jackman earlier in the season but in recent weeks have gotten very cynical. I'm not saying Limerick are saints by any means but it seems mad the amount of sendings off ye have picked up recently.

On the radio they said 700, Others at it say max 500,

I'd say 700. Definitely an increase on the crowd for the Bray playoff last year, which is very encouraging.

If and when Monaghan are premoted they have alot of work to do to get to preimer standard off the pitch

Their pitch is shocking not up to standard ,,,their lights are defo not bright enough it was so dark on tue night it was difficult to make out players identy on far side of pitch ......the pitch markings were wrong and pitch had to be remarked before ko.....and i also heard they had no match balls and had to borrow some from Galway ........lads this is ment to be highest standard in the country LOL:bad:

I think an early goal for monaghan will kill off the tie. I just hope that the players dont go out too cocky and faff around like fabio's chip to the keeper on tuesday. As long as they dont lose the head if things get iffy in the first 15 minutes like v cork or limerick

I do believe we can score, but I can't see us keeping a clean sheet. Hope I'm wrong. An early goal for us would set the cat among pigeons and should make for an interesting encounter.

Many coming down from Monaghan for this one?

MagicMon
04/11/2011, 12:18 PM
There should be a fair few more than went to Athlone, I reckon there was about 100 in the away support there*. Depends how much of the Dublin-based support travel.

*I'm useless at estimating crowds, could have been 10,000 tbf.

The last time the words 'president' and 'envelope' were used together, Sean Gallagher lost about a quarter of a million votes!

I think it might just be one of the best things ever if GUFC got into the Premier instead of Dundalk..again. Much better place as an away fan anyways, I'd support it!

Congrats to Mons, it was always going to happen as Galway chased the tie.

I'm delighted to see the back of Monaghan, Shels and Cork for a while, we've a good shot of contending for promotion next year with that lot gone and a reorganising Galway coming down. Touch wood, licence pending and all that..
