One season in this fixture they got 9 points. Now they're wildly celebrating getting a point in Tallaght.

How times have changed.

Of course I'm annoyed that we threw away 2 points.... but my comments/opinions re the state of your club have nothing to do with the result, I felt that way before the match , the bottom line is whether we win or lose out on the league this for us will be a hugely succesful season in terms of our upward progress in terms of structures etc. We have a clear long term plan to embed purselves in the community, maintain 3000 plus season ticket holders, remain financially viable, put in place underage coaching/training/coaching facilities and remain compeditive on the pitch... my point is that your fans of course enjoyed last night's result as in comparison to us you IMO have little to look forward to.

Like it or not we went through some dreaful years when our club was almost destroyed by some serious off field mis-management, we the fans have wrested control back and IMO albeit as an outsider I don't think Bohs fans are going to be able to do that and therefore your club is in serious danger of becoming defunct of at best marginalised..... I know what's it's like to have that concern for my club and believe you me I wouldn't wish that sceanario on any genuine fan which I've no doubt you are... anyway hope you do us a favour and play like that against both Sligo and Derry.

.....pity you cant seem to remember the wild celebrations when shams nicked an ill deserved point at Dalymount early season (11 V11). Or was that "different" ?

Any fan not undestanding supporters celebrating getting a draw - against bitterest rivals - from a goal down - a man down - away from home, is either (1) Nouveau fan with soooooo much to learn or (2) a muppet just bitter because "their" team didn't win.

Do let us know which you are

Have to say I love the Rovers fans reaction to Bohs celebrating, A few people were saying coming out of the ground last night 'Look at them celebrating a draw, just shows how **** they are' . Of course when Rovers got their draw in Dalymount earlier in the season they all just stayed quiet and didn't even celebrate their goal:rolleyes:

In terms of the result, It was a good result for us, I don't see Bohs catching us now so we can just focus on overtaking Derry

Rovers fans I wouldn't worry too much, Sligo never win in Richmond, We will at least get a draw on Saturday

We don't do things the easy way...should of won by at least three but got complacent.... as for the Bohs fans reaction at the end, you'd swear they'd won the league, understandable but actually kinda sad that is now for them the highlight of their season... anyway the choice of music in Tallaght tonight said it all " we'll meet again don't know where don't know when...." guess as a club they've now moved to a place where they are to be more pitied than anything else so enjoy your LSL or Div one tour next season and wonder how long you'll live off the memory of one point in Tallaght from 18 before you get a chance to play there again...cheerio

ps and yes you are going bust and we'll be having a party with our millions

Ohhh It hurts doesnt it!

Of course I remember our celebrations when we drew 1-1 with our last gasp goal.... the point I'm making is that for you last night's celebrations IMO were not just the joy of getting a point aginast your rivals etc.but also for me showed how little else you have to cheer about in comparison to where you were as a club not too long ago, it also IMO re-inforced how little you have to look forward to.

As for your calling me a muppet well that IMO is purely childish... as for offering me the choice of (2) options as to what type of fan I am, well IMO such a question is completly irrelevent and I'm not stupid enough to try and defend myself based on your either or questioning. However if it makes you feel good to try and appear clever good luck to you because frankly I don't need to defend myself or explain myself to you or anyone else as there is nothing to explain/defend.

The all prevailing logic in Tallaght is comedy gold, its a self sustaining delusion of greatness.
If a team loses to Shams then of course thats because they are **** and Shams are great and what else would you expect.
If a team beats Shams its only because its a "world cup final" (as it was refered to by Shams fans when we bet them for the 3rd time in a row) or the like and only further demonstrates how great Shams really are even if they did lose or drop points.
I think its why the always ultra forum is so enjoyable after results like these.

Nah Nah Nah Nah
06/10/2011, 12:26 PM
Sligo's to lose now IMO ;)

We still need Shams to drop points to have any chance so it's theirs to lose at the moment

If we could manage to get a win in Inchicore it would put Shams under even more pressure ahead of the 2 games that I could see them dropping some more points in. But it's going to be very tough in Inchicore. Pats front 2 have caused us plenty of problems this season.

For what it's worth you did in effect call me either a muppet or a a noveau fan by asking me to disclose which type was I.

Again by saying my posts were petulent is silly.... all i'm saying is that you now have very little to celebrate or look forward to...you may disagree and if you do good luck to you.

There's still the FAI Cup to look forward to and hopefully "celebrate" as you say. I know it's been a long time since you won the Cup but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist anymore

Thats normal proceedure. Plenty of rocks landed - few cracked or broken windows alright but nothing to write home about. Usually happens at the first 3 or 4 stops from Tallaght.

Maybe there will be a boycott of Luas travel to Tallaght in future ;)

Tough to say but - well done Bohs.

That's some spirit to comeback and get a result. Which delights me cause of the result against Shams but worries me as we have to play ye twice before the season is out.

I don't have very much love for Boh's but it's comical that they are getting slagged off for scoring and getting a draw from the bitterest rivals away from home which could dent their title hopes.

It also gives us a glimmer of hope but the way we're playing I don't see us putting up a big challenge to last until the final day.

But............this reminds me a bit of the '95 season when Dundalk won it when both ourselves and Shels blew it on the final day against all odds. ;)

Those paranoid voices in your head are getting worse by the day. Can you point out where any Rovers fan here has said Bohs didn't deserve a point last night? Or where Rovers fans said we were great last night? Even reading the Ultras forum there is almost universal agreement that we were absolute muck in the second half last night and deserved what we got. It was the same for the Sligo match in Tallaght a few weeks ago, widespread acknowledgement that we were beaten by the better team on the night. Do you actually read threads or do you just type what the voices in your head are telling you?

I fully agree if you win the cup you will have something major to celbrate... however my central point remains and that is that IMO you have very little to look forward to in the short to mid term future , at this point you may wish to continue to accept or reject that view frankly it makes no difference to me.

Well it would seem that you haven't read them... no where did I slag off Bohs... in fact I stated that your fans reaction to getting the draw was understanably but then went on to say that it's kinda sad that last night could well be as good as it gets for you ( albeit the cup is still there for you) on account of your current financial problems etc....still if you like your colleage want to impune a different narrative then so be it.... personallly this is getting somewhat tedious, so good luck with your fight for survial and I genuinely hope we get to continue our on field rivalry next season.

That season doesn't count...

On the game, When Bohs scored I said to my mate Rovers will up it now and should win the game but it just never came, They didn't use the extra man at all, Finn and Turner kept coming deep to pick up the ball and the times they didn't Sives or Murray just punted it up the field, Sives should have brought the ball into midfield and let the likes on Finn and Turner to push on

Why Fenlon persists with Flood out wide is beyond me, He can't beat his man and he can't defend, he is wasted out there, When he went up top he was brilliant, Gave Bohs a great out ball, Ran the channels and held the ball up

No problem with any post Stu (hence why I didn't report). The problem, as I saw it, was your inability (as Moderator) to apply rules/standards without allowing your bias for/against certain club(s) influence the outcome.I am far from the first to say that and doubt I will be the last.

Below is what you wrote, the use of the word 'you' rather than 'your post' kinda flys in the face of your comment above

Any fan not undestanding supporters celebrating getting a draw - against bitterest rivals - from a goal down - a man down - away from home, is either (1) Nouveau fan with soooooo much to learn or (2) a muppet just bitter because "their" team didn't win.
