If the LDMC appoint the same managers as last season we have no chance , Aidan lost two finals that should have been won easy, losing to the desmond league was awful and at home to an average AUL side, shane fitz and gerry mc mahon have no experience at thet level you cant blame them.
Why is it that no one else applies for the O.T. job surely with all the football people in town it would be a challenge for someone.

LDMC should look for the right person last year and the year before both finals were very poor displays from a team that was good enough to win it, Aidan ryan , shane fitz, and gerry mc mahon havent enough of experience at that level, in my opinion it is the strongest league in the country and to be beaten by the desmond league isnt good enough.

i know pike have a tough draw, away to boro, but unless something comes out of dublin or out of nowhere,i can't see them being beaten.
that's in noway being disrespectful to the boro.

possible shocks this week-end???
charleville to beat corbally(hard to beat down there)
hill celtic to beat wembley(struggling for numbers at the minute)
outside chance for c/lish versus balla(remember i said outside chance)
and herbertstown vrs kilmallock

mysteryman

kilmallock will beat herbertstown by 5 or 6 at least

Fitness is what normally prevails for the premier teams against say 1b and 2a sometimes...
An outside chance could be athlunkard away to annacotty... Although with it being out in annacotty that will be a big advantage to them onda fake pitch... That would be my outside chance of a shock but even still very outside chance

I understand what your saying but from a pure betting point of view.. If they do beat pike they will be drastically reduced in price.. And I prefer to have a sneaky €5 on it than not

That's why all bookmakers are millionaires,if you're gonna have a bet you might as well back pike@6/1 to win it outright, much better chance and a more realistic bet.you know the old saying " being there, done that" it's all ifs and buts,

had a look at the AUL site..
some team called pinwood something?/ are on top.
no disrespect, but have not heard of them before now.
interesting to see that most teams are capable of beating each other in that league with ballymun second, and sheriff third.
only 4 or 5 points separating the top 7 or 8 teams.
look's very competitive.
sheriff have to be in with a shout.
is there any tasty clashes above in dublin??

AA 4-2 Athlunkard

AA were 2-0 up at HT, when Athlunkard pulled a goal back through Luke Hayes around the 60min mark, Athlunkard then levelled through a great goal from 30yards out with a lob from Michael Curren that caught the keeper off his line around the 70min, Smalle then made it 3-2 AA with a well taken strike with 5mins to go, and then with 2/3 mins to go AA made it 4-2 (think it was Smalle again not too sure), think it finished 4-2.

Overall Athlunkard gave a good account of themselves and can hold their heads high,

Best of luck to both teams today, its just a pity they meet so early in competiton.I agree wit poster about pikes midfield,i dont think harnett is good enough(too slow and a shaper), boro are good enough to win bcos clarke up front will get goals, boro 2-1 atf extra time,

Too slow and a shaper??,35 goals last season from midfield and prob the same every other year, cop yourself on will you, scored the winner last year in final, junior international, that'll just tell you what you know.

To be fair saying we gave a good account of ourselves is a bit of a put down, we were every bit as good as aisling, we conceeded 3 goals through our own errors. At 2-2 we were the better side, but let ourselves down badly. So dissapointed. Best of luck to AA
