Yes heard the same actually, cant see him getting a game for Pike though. As for Wayne Lee he must be better than Mike Ryan. View are are off to an awful start this year whatever went wrong.

is your name declan considine by any chance.as for a chance to win the league last year no chance ,pike were streets ahead of the view last year and most of the view lads will tell you that, and i love the qoute about the talk is he will replace moloney ,i have a feeling that talk is coming from yourself pal
If Pike were streets ahead of Fairview, what chance does anyone else have... It's true though, Pike were miles and miles better than anyone else last year. Let's hope Janesboro can challenge this year, coz it looks like Regional, Balla and fairview won't

think you will find that he meant grant has no hope of displacing moloney or barry.
if it's true that he is off to pike then good luck to him.
however it is a sad day when a player who has won an FAI and MJC in the last three seasons with a club decides to upsticks after 2 games.
think it is time for fairview to take a look at bringing in some of the younger lads up there,on a gradual basis.
they have won the respective league at 16,17 and minor grades for two seasons now so there has to be some couple of players able to step up.
on the wayne lee issue,he was playing at left full, out of neccessity.
saw him playing a couple of times in friendlies at right full and played well.
and although he did not have a good game vs boro,he never gave up.....which cannot be said for others

Lots of players move for different reasons he is a very good player, pat mc garry, and most of the gerldines x players and summerville signed for fairview hoping to win an FAI it didnt happen for mc garry but it doesnt mean he is a bad person or has a bad attitude people seem to be writing off clubs so early in the season which is crazy really, boro have signed players from other clubs to get stronger and i think balla have very good players and could be very close if they beat fairview thursday.
summerville need to improve or they will go straight back down, i cant see them gettign 1 point this

two geraldines and one summerville(barrett, chucka and kelliher)
i don't see your point...if geraldines or summerville had won the above in the last three seasons would their players move, especially after 2 games into the season????
i will admit that pike have the strongest squad in the league,no doubting that.
but if he felt that way he should have never signed in the first place.
don't think he gave the club, management or his team mates any compliments by asking for the transfer.
he could have waited a few weeks until the injuries,GAA commitments and possibly 2 or 3 new players came in,and then made his mind up..thought he took the easy option

Sorry I wasnt referring to yesterdays game regarding the Balla sideline. I meant in general they are like that. Every time I watch them their line is in uproar as soon as the ref blows the whistle. For me the balla line is the worse for getting on refs backs over decision. But hey, thats only 1 mans opinion. I msure others on here would disagree with me :)
As for the keeper, your right he is only a young lad and he does have good days ahead of him. He will be a very good keeper if he sticks with it.
Is he the A keeper for the season, isnt he still underage for 19s? What happened to Paudie?yea he's on a 19s form too had a very good game after the wembley game against regional..paudie is caught out with work and decided to go to the b team..as sideline alot that come to the games are not members of the club and we had this issue over the years and now with shelbourne park being a public park we got no say in it..were aware but powerless as there not members just lads that would be friends of players come to matches and have to much to say at times..and i been at a match in the park last season were a club member trew a flag at the ref and he ran to us for protection off the feild in another away match a player was treathened with a hurley i seen this myself.. we seam to get painted with the same brush each season and were not saying were angels but clubs should look at there selfs before they point the finger...

if jonathan grant signs for pike it will make them even stronger but as a previous post said they can only play 11.no doubt they have the best squad in town but i think its up to everybody else to at least try and catch up.im sure pike work hard in training and spend alot of time working on set plays etc. they rarely give away soft goals and as good as there forwards are they are very strong across the back.boywonder made a previous comment about the fact fairview dominated for years and nobody said much.i agree with that point,i can remember when they won 5 trophies in one season back around the late 90's.there are alot of clubs in town with good young players and good squads of 16-17.if theses clubs can start matching pikes consistency, hard work and ruthlessness then maybe things will be a bit closer this season.its not an impossible task but it wont happen unless clubs believe it can

Lads is this a joke about mcgarry not playin due to gaa?, this is a man that v nearly made the irish squad for their recent tournament and people on this site complaining that he did not make it and what a great dedicated player he was.It goes to show where his priorities lie, i doubt v much paul breen or james walsh wud miss a soccer match due to gaa.if i was manager of the view i wud be very disappointed wit him in such a big game in season,

that's the condition he signed under.....he did the same when playing with pike.
he has a very strong affinity for claughan, but i could not question his commitment to any club once the GAA finishes.
think you are being slightly harsh on the man, without knowing the facts, through no fault of your own

ok maybe i was a bit harsh but by all accounts fairviews back four were terrible and a player of mcgarrys experience standing on da sideline watching it when not injured or suspended is hard to believe,i didnt think a club of fairviews standard would accept that from a player.limerick gaa is shocking anyway.

a lot of club's have similar situations,as for the standard of GAA i'm afraid that's something i cannot comment on as i don't know enough about it....
hopefully there will be a positive response from the players on thursday night against balla.

If fairview don't win Thursday night it will be a tough ask for them to win the league,no disrespect to any club but if pike win their next 3 fixtures which in all honesty people will expect them to,before pike and view meet and pike beat them there will be no chance of them overtaking pike, but then again the boro, balla and maybe Carew park will have something to say about it.I expect fairview to make signings in the not too distant future though.

Pa mullins gave pike 100% committment last year and his gaa club are senior,so did Boris and Kav by the way.

I dont know where there gone blueboy to be honest so you might enlighten us.I know alot of players are leaving there respective clubs to join pike, boro but they cant all play regularly?my point was that in the premier league at the moment balla, kilmallock, corbally, wembley, carew pk are mostly made up by local players from there area of the town and who have played with them for a while. If these clubs can keep what they have and add one or two lads over the next season or two then why cant they at least make games v pike, fairview, boro etc competitive?

on the sideline issue is it not the responsibilty of the home team to manage these issues i know it is nearly impossible to control people coming to games ?? do the league have any rules on this were do club stand if referee abandons game due to abuse by somebody watching game with no ties to either club but hapens to be standing with or beside supporters on the line. !!!!
