so Pike down to ten men. looks like the refs must be on this site too and stepped up to the plate when it was pointed out to them that they couldnt make the big decisions against the big teams. what was the red card for?
Pike have plenty of red cards got, that's a fact, ref was very poor today for a LOI official,he gave 3 or 4 decisions in the first 10 mins that were mind boggling, red was for kicking out.view keeper made a hash of a ball in first few mins playing with the ball on the ground with his feet and JT took it off him,ref gives free out, mad.

oh yeah, forgot that he was LOI REF, AND IT WAS ME WHO MENTIONED IT IN AN EARLIER POST. AND Thats the game that i was giong to watch, before i was reminded that it was easter sunday and kids went hunting for eggs. would the dinner ever be ready so we can finish it and go for a few scoops? watched the pats v rovers game last nigh at last. wow, it was a cracker. only problem with a dubin team being beaten was... that a dub team still won.. ha ha

Can't recall Gary making a save, pike were well worth their win,and if Boris wasn't sent off it could have been a lot worse, view need a lot of rebuilding and I'm sure they will,Boris will be big loss for 3 games, pike played all the football even with 10 men.
I agree with you view need to rebuild but it was 2 1 for a period of the game today fairview were still in the game, boris got sent off for kicking the left full will some one check him for a brain.

Some turnaround from Wembley in fairness. 2 points from their first 7 matches (the first 5 being played over a period of 12 days - barbaric) considering! The 13 games since then has seen 8 wins, 3 draws and 2 losses (away to Balla and Pike, both by 1 goal). Will now play a big part in the relegation battle with the last 2 games being Corbally and Star.

goal feast this weekend lads. I was at the Pike game and there was 7 goals in that. Pike tok the foot off the pedal after halftime when they led 3-0 and could have paid the price. led 4-0 before park got 2 back but wasnt enough time left for park to win it. could have stole a draw though. eventually pike realised that they could drop 2 points and changed gears. not a historic performance by them but should have taken the game more seriously. that attitute next week could cost them against boro. looking forward to that one. wife and kids heading away for that weekend so can enjoy the game without having to keep an eye on where the kids are. hope the weather is good for it so that a decent crowd turns up to create a great athmosphere for a great run in to end of season. all the players deserve that encouragement for providing us with all the entertainment all season.

Agreed Nesta to come up from 1a and finish midtable means a very good season for us,and of course the only team to take points off boro so far!Still need another maybe 2or3 players to really kick on next year and of course crucially keep the current squad together, hopefully our lads will resist any offers in the summer.Easy win this morning poor summerville have had a rough year, best of luck to them next season.

You have a game that would be worthy of an fai final and yet the majority of the league cant see it,play it sat night or sat afternoon, hold it till monday evening even,no linesman down for it either.......best of luck to Mr Buttimer.

There would be linesmen if the boro requested them, and I don't know what all the hulla bullo is about its only a league game, not a huge fai game, and lawman if you thought Carew park could have got a draw yesterday it says it all about you, don't forget to bring all the kids next week by the way,
theboywonder8

It's not the council by the way it's the fix secretary, who most clubs will elect next year again.so just get on with it.after all it's only a league game, boro have balla and regional left as well, and pike also have balla,so it's not just down to this game, and balla and Regional are also in the semi final of the lawson.I'd say franny is staying where he is.

you are correct in saying it is up to the boro to request linesmen.
but to say it is only a league game is underselling it somewhat.
if either team win, thats them crowned champions imo(particularly so in the boro's case)
also agree with the posters who would want it on as a stand alone fixture.
saturday evening would have been a great time for anyone interested in junior soccer, and would have generated a massive gate for the boro, not to mention the added revenue in the bar.

What will happen Fairviews players next year, cant see the big players staying, seems to be issues with money as well????
The league needs a strong Fairview team. They've been struggling with injuries all season. I think they'll be much stronger next year. The way the league is at the moment is a bit of a joke to be fair. Emmigration has played a big part in the quality of the league decreasing over the last few years, but shur what can you do about that

that remains to be seen...i would guess, from the rumours, that stuart will not seek the position next year.
think myself that things have gone backwards over the last two seasons(not all of which was stuarts fault).
if they get the right manager, and good support from the committee then i can see an improvement happening.

Fairview have been hit with injuries this season so its hard to judge the poor season they have had, you wont get the support from the committee as there are off the field issues that have to be dealt with, i think sundays game the boro could get a draw last game in jackman park the sides met shane clark made the pike rovers centre halfs look ordinary.

agree with the injuries aspect, but the committee will have to give support to the soccer side of things.that is what they are elected for.
not saying that the current committee did not do their best, but there are people there to take care of the other aspects as you put it.
on the boro pike game, think boro will win it tbh.
not sure if wayne colbert is eligible(or borris for that matter),but i think both clubs know that this is the title decider.
can see pike throwing the kitchen sink at the boro, but maybe a breakaway goal, involving waters, will seal it for boro

Think Colbert is and Borris isn't, as for Pike throwing the kitchen sink at the Boro???? that will depend on what happens this Thursday between Boro v Balla, if Boro drop points then a draw would suit Pike on Sunday, and it will be the Boro that will have to throw the kitchen sink at Pike,
Its the best attack v the best defence in the league, so it should be a cracker............pity its on the same time as most other junior games.....6.30 / 7pm Sat night would have been ideal for everyone

Cant see this happening, for two reasons
1. Cant see Connie dropping Moloney
2. If Borris is suspended, they're already down one of their 4 regular midfielders.
