Pike couldn't afford to go LOI.. Sure they have no money..pike are probably the only club in limerick that would be able to go league of ireland,no disrespect to boro our fairview, just my opinion,,

i hope the ldmc come down hard on aisling for the carry on the other night v pike.cant believe how quite people on this site are about it if pike did something like that cheating ye would be on here saying the ldmc should do this and that to pike (imo aisling should not be allowed to play under lights for the rest of the season because if they go behind they can just turn off the switch and match replayed)

Would there have been much point in Aisling doing that though because chances are they will lose in the replay too. Now if it was between Aisling and a team closer them it might be more suspicious but not when it's against a team they will most likely lose to second time around.

to see a club labelled like aisling have been by a poster on this site with no information or source to back it up is nothing short of a disgrace, once again pikes name been distorted by unfounded comments from the few...tourist...supporters who get on the train when it suits them.

Bawnmore? Pike bought directly from the City Council. Bawnmore never came into it. Proof of this would have been Pike selling land(3rd Back Pitch) to Rathbane Golf Club(Under the ownership of Limerick City Council of at the time) when they first started up. Pike's complete ownership includes 2 Pitches (A+B), Training Pitch, Clubhouse/dressingrooms/Carpark. All paid for with a hefty Bank loan at the time.

So don't come on here and start talking absolute Waffle when you haven't a notion.

How did this wheel around to Pike in the first place...Small minds..

Why would they? AA are now stuck with a massive Bank Loan, Fairview in a similar position. Go out to University of Limerick and have a look at the 8 brand new pitches they've built, that are rented out at far cheaper prices than any club in Limerick can match currently. Leaving the likes of the above teams massively in the hole. I know what I'd prefer...

In my opinion Aisling should be the envy of every club in town they have a super facility now and with regards to the bank loans incurred by clubs who are taking these massive steps forward the fact that most clubs have 2 junior teams a minor team and let's just say 5 schoolboy teams if the juniors and youth team train twice a week and schoolboys once then thats 11 hours of the 20 hours a week available minus an hour or 2 late on Fridays when teams don't train that's only about 5 or 6 hours of time to be advertised on a pitch, that is not a massive ask assuming your club is in town. I also don't think that the manager in a team can make a call like turning off the lights during a match I'd say that would cause a few ripples on a committee.

AA have a great set up it is top class even if it does hold a big debt with it but it does make it easy to do what they did last week which takes the goodness from having that facility i would wonder if it happened again would the LDMC step in.

If a player signs for a club at the start of the season and then transfers to another club,he can then only return to the first club he signed for, hope that answers yere question,You can only play with 2 clubs in any one season.

Rule 32 (c) from the FAI Rulebook

Players may be registered for a maximum of three clubs during the current season. During this period, the player is only eligible to play in Official Matches for two clubs. As an exception to this rule, a player moving between two clubs belonging to Associations with overlapping seasons (i.e. start of the season in summer/autumn as opposed to winter/spring) may be eligible to play in official matches for a third club during the relevant season, provided he has fully complied with his contractual obligations towards his previous club. Equally the provisions relating to registration period as well as to the minimum length of contract must be respected.

Pike 4-1 Regional

John Boyle started up front today and bagged himself a brace, with Moloney and Judge also chipping in. O'Leary scored a consolation penalty late on for the away side. A very one-sided, unremarkable game, the result of which was never in any real doubt.

We played ok 1st half super rovers, the goal before half time was crucial to make 1 2,2nd half we dominated for half an hour and were dominating all over the pitch, regional tried to get an equiliser in the last few mins, caught them on the break to make it 4 2,calla, pill 2 and joey scored our goals,Pa Sheahan and pill played best for us.
