Anyone here AA were withdrawing their premier team, rumours are rife, they can't get a team, they could do with a few ex loi players now.
You really have it in for A.A. dont you but you cant withdraw your A team from the league as long as you have a B or C or youth team.
Im surprised you dident know that.

Park rangers did it,check it out, midway through a season you can't,but before it starts is a different story,as I said park did it,

while one can not feel that sorry for aislings problems as their attitude over the years leaves a lot to be desired,it is not a good reflection on the premier league to see them in trouble player wise if the rumours are true.hopefully they will be sorted come kick off.

I know an aisling lad and he said that most of last years team is gone, 2 goggins, hurley , fitzmaurice , owens , smalle , meskall , lenihan , lynch ,njuki and cusack didnt sign yet or signed for other clubs.Thats practically their whole team from last year.

Heard their bringin up the 19s team and b team but I didnt hear anything about them pulling out. Its bad to see for a Premier team to be pulling out if its true.

Who of the above do you know for certain have signed with other clubs?
Hurley has signed with the Boro, anyone else?

If Aisling do pull out, will it then mean they will swap places with the team that finished 3rd in 1A last season? which would be Croom Utd.

Last season's final standings 1A
Wembley Rvs 22 17 4 1 65 22 55 (P)
Summerville Rvs 22 16 3 3 51 23 51 (P)
Croom Utd 22 12 3 7 43 35 39

Either that or AA could start the season and see how they get on, if all fails then they could pull out half way through the season (as Boro "B" did last season)......but all in all, I'd say AA will find the players somewhere, and be fine this season.

Ronan Smalle signed for Wembley last night, i dont think Aisling are pulling out of the Premier, and for Croom to go up to Premier if Aisling did pull out now thats just silly, they should have been thrown out of the 1A last season with all their carry on.

Meskell and lenihan gone to Newport, they will probably field a team from their b and youth players, they'll be cannon fodder,it's a pity!!!!!

I for one hope Annacotty will get through this hard time their having, there a good progressive club with a great schoolboy structure. It's easy to kick someone when there down.

Heard conor lynch signed for boro last night and steve gogs and fitzmaurice were up in boro training too but dont think they signed. David owens has a bad injury and mightent be fit for a few months and dan gogs is supposed to be up in dublin working and wont be coming down. As for the rest I couldnt tell ya where their going heard regional are after 1 or 2 more.Plus whoever was asking about Purcell he was there for a few weeks and left he must of known what was coming.

Must be one of the favourites to go down now. Its a good setup up there and its a shame to see a Premeir team go this way.

there set up is one of the best in town but yours players have to want to play for you in times like this no run too other clubs as it surly no because they have'nt the facility's .. balla to name have only a 20ft container still end up top 3or4 each year loads of youth players comming thru.. fair play to the committee for getting all this BUT man management and respect of players is not there..there committee worked hard for this and they were badly let down by players...and managers tail between the legs as they say..

if aisling put as much effort into fielding a team for the new season as they did trying to make sure other clubs were affected by new rules then maybe they would be ok,but i have no sympathy for a club trying to stop a bloke playing junior soccer because he tried his hand at senior soccer 10 yrs earlier ie gareth ryan ,david dunphy ,jossy ,just to name a few.id say there is a fair dose of foot in mouth out annacotty way at the moment.ps least the light bill on the new pitch wont be that high if there isnt many matches on it

Is that "A" or "B", If its "A", then surely he will only be back up to the likes of Clarke & McNicholas? Conor is still a great player, but IMO it would surely be Clarke and McNicholas as first choice (wouldnt it?)

in my opinion the rule was not a one club vendetta but more the intention of the rule was to bring a sense of community back to junior football in limerick. The Limerick premier league has become a monopoly for one or two clubs and the league as a competition has become redundant to a degree..Not to single Pike out but how many players that won the FAI with Pike this year played with them underage ? The premier league in limerick needs to get competitive again and in my opinion the new rule was just attempting to do that.no more no less

you have a few valid points but i totally disagree with your opinion as it was a one club vendetta,as for pikes fai team ,we were out of schoolboys for few years and it took us a long time to recover ,we have worked around the clock in the mean time to get our facilitys up to scratch to try and attract the best players available which i might add these players should have a right to decide who they want to play for and the new rule would not have allowed for that.Pike have set the bar domestic wise the last 5 years and its upto other clubs to step up to the challenge, balla are doing it their way by promoting youth but in my opinion other clubs are just sitting back feeling sorry for themselves instead of accepting the challenge.Remember to be the beat you have to beat the best

L.D.M.C. sent a copy of the rule to the F.A.I. and they passed it so the rule stands only the clubs can change it as they voted it in.

Don't say I didn't tell you,

I know the Pike boys on this dont like AA but they put a plan through and nearly every club in town agreed with it so ye cant all point the finger at AA. Something has to be done about it, if everybody wants to see the same team winning the league and FAI year after year then thats fine but id rather see a bit of competition each season.

so when fairview were almost unbeatable in the Fai ,the rest of the clubs should have brought in a few rule changes to even the score.

Lads, I dont know how many times 12th Man has asked everyone not to mention the paying of players as it has serious consequences for the website, we all have our opinions, but when it comes to the money issue, lets either keep it quiet or bring it to PM (for the sake of the website).

Any club would struggle losing that amount of players not to mention Aisling losing there best ones. Im surprised Hurley left. After I saw him score and kiss the badge last season I thought he was a true Aisling die hard??? (He has told me enough times in the Icon anyway) :)
Id say he will struggle to get in with the Boro A’s even at right back. Good ability but headless.
Its a shame Aisling are in so much trouble with the very good set up they have out there now.
I actually thought they were going to kick on a bit this year and sign a few more with the new astro they have but obviosuly not. Purcell definately jumped ship at the right time.
