Who scored for the boro??

ballananty 4-1 corbally.balla took the lead after 15mins through a dave dunphy free kick.a very dubious decision for the free kick though from referee.we thought we equalised on 20mins when dave morris had a shot smothered by balla keeper about 2 yards over the line but as usual referee didnt see it.balla went 2 up on 30mins when dunphy broke free on the wing to cross for frank lee to finish at near post.corbally piled on the pressure for rest of the half and missed at least 3 handy chances to level the game.kelleiher got ballas 3rd on 40 mins. balla had a 4th goal disallowed for offside on 45mins.could of been given as easlily as not.corbally started 2nd half very well.gary o grady scoed a good free kick on 55 mins to make it 3-1.corbally fighting there way back in at this stage until the ref gave an indirect free kick to balla from which tom daly scored.an absolute shocking decision to give the free in the first place.some of the balla players were even laughing about it.all in all as per usual for us in our last few games we had at least 10 chances and scored 1,balla had 5 chances and scored 4.thats the difference for us at the moment.creating loads, scoring very little and defending poorly at times and getting punished for it.on a serious note though the standard of refereeing in the premier division in limerick is an absolute disgrace.some absolutely shocking decisions today for both teams.

having seen the balla v corbally game i would have to say the scoreline flattered balla no doubt, would agree with tedd on possible equaliser, was over the line.free for balla 4th goal never a free but disallowed one looked good from where i viewed game.corbally missed some good chances though were helped by some very poor defending from balla back four.overall standard of game very disappointing.

Carew park 2 Fairview 1, kevin barry, albert slattery,
great win for the lads this morning went one up after 25mins through kevin barry no real chances for either side in the first half. 2nd half fairview levelled from a free kick after that fairview were on top but the lads dug in and defended well and scored the winner on 84mins with a shot by albert slattery which was deflected into his owe net by view defender carew had a great chance 60secs later the finish off the game shot was dragged wide much better performance this morning 5 wins from 7 going along nicely.
not the best of games, happy to see some of the minors playing(albeit through suspensions to other players)
thought young cooney and power played well.
well on top,as you said,in the second half.
the winner should have been cleared easily and wasn't..
our full back got disposessed, but he should not have been given the ball in the first place.
surprised that craig madigan was not playing...don't know what the story is there.
howsever,i hope that one or two more minors are given more chances.
think that is the way to go these days.
you may have to take a step back to take two steps forward.

ref got that one spot on and the keeper should of went instead of a yellow

i dont agree allab.the keeper slid to edge of box and swung his arm to clear the ball.he was very close but i dont think he was outside the box? regarding the other decisions he certainly didnt get the disallowed goal spot on,he didnt get the indirect free kick from 10yards out for the fourth right either.the header ye got disallowed before half time was very dubious also.you cant be making calls in premier football from 30yards away.

Looks like getting rid of the B team is coming back to haunt Wembley. Its always good to have back up players even if just to make up numbers. Most the good premier teams have decent B teams or B teams with 1 or two players they can call on.

That has nothing to do with it, the A team hasnt used any of the B players in the last 2 to 3 years part from possilbly Wobbler so our Recent form has nothing to do with the lack of B team, it has to do with lack of squad at moment.Injuries work and GAA has taken its toll..We should be ok in few weeks i reckon.

But that's kind of what I mean. Ye had a big squad last year so the b players probably weren't needed but this year they could have come in very handy when stuck for players even just to help make up the numbers. Most clubs make sure they also have a decent enough B team they can call on, Pike, Fairview, Janesboro (a few years ago don't know about now), Killmallock, Balla etc.....

Balla 0 Carew park 1, jamie o' sullivan
excellant result tonight for carew against a very good balla team first half was even enough both teams had a couple of chances. 2nd half was mostly balla carew had to defend for the lives at times gordon pulled off some excellant saves the lads defended very well we kept in the game and got our reward on 88mins when kevin barry pulled the ball across for jamie o sullivan who finished very well from a very tight angle.

Great result for Carew but dont understand why Balla management took off Guerin thought himself and Dunphy were Ballas best players tonight.
The full back Somers with Carew just couldent handle him and the goal that Carew scored came down the side where Guerin was playing after he was taken off.
I thought Stephen Grant and McMarlow and of course Gordon Stewart were Carews best players.

aisling 1-3 corbally.A very good result for us tonight and more importantly a good display from start to finish.never easy to get a result out in aisling on a tight pitch which had improved an awful lot from last season.corbally took the lead on 15mins through dave morris.aisling got a penalty 5 mins later,a 50/50 tackle in our box on a breaking ball between hartnett and hammond.both players clashed shins but aisling player got a touch to the ball so peno was fair i suppose.great save from duhig in goals for the peno.we made it 2-0 after 30mins with morris adding his second after good work by neylon and o gorman.O gorman made it 3-0 after 50mins when he whipped in a free straight to the net from out left.aisling to there credit never gave up battling and the rest of the half was tight although we looked dangerous on the break and could of made it more.they have alot of good young players who will get better with every premier game they play.a good enough match overall which was reffed well by john mc.

In fairness the lad is too good for junior soccer. Shud be playin at a higher level imo. If a guy was playing in 3A who was good enough for premier you'd say what a waste of talent. On the other hand he's young yet I suppose, he's a boro man and fair play to him loyalty is hard to come by these days.

We went through the same last year. Th lack of respect from some people on here is staggering. They have very high opinions of themselves. I think they need a reality check a realise it's only Junior football and if they were any good they wouldn't be playing in the league they are.

we'l keep battling, thats all we can do, sville do not have the rescources of other clubs in limerick and are nearly totally dependant on local lads to pick from, We were never a club that attracted players for watever reason, I have no doubt that we will come back strong again, the club has brought through some excellent players past and present that would and in some cases have graced top premier sides in town, notably, kelliher, daz o sullivan, cyril maher, john shine and james o donnel but to name but a few. The team that got promoted last season did so on merit& deserve their crack at the big boys despite what you and others think.

When the wheels start to come off people start to jump ship but I saw the pre-season they did and they worked hard. The management is too clubmen and they are only learning as they go whoever said it was a poor preseason should've spoke up back then not now when the clubs back is against the wall. We need to stick together because if we don't turn it around we will want to compete next year with the same players. But it could still happen as I think 10 or 12 points could be enough this year and the group of top teams this year is a much bigger one so the 4 teams around us won't pick up many points

It's usually 20pts that would see you safe I expect AA to improve the more games they play together plus the transfer window coming up I expect them to sign a few players. IT'S not nice fighting relegation carew Have done it for about four seasons in a row up until 3yrs ago they signed 5 good players kept the same team in the summer added another 4 or 5 good players same again this season now we are 3rd at the moment 3pts off the boro it takes time. And if have any good players the bigger clubs come along and make them a offer that you can't match so all your hard work is gone..then you have a team getting promoted losing some of your best players which makes it harder to stay up..it happened a couple of times..corbally came up one year and lost 4/5 players to boro I think...crazy stuff

agree with afew of the posts above.some of the statements being made about summerville are very disrespectful.they have got to the premier on merit.they have improved there facilities hugely up in portland park over the last few seasons.they might be struggling at the minute but are giving it there best.theres a long way to go in the season.even though shannon had a long season last year they gave there all in every game and rolled over or done favours for nobody.as good a league as the limerick premier is people need to realise that most teams are local lads doing there best for there clubs and getting nothing for it.A bit of respect what clubs are trying to do wouldnt go astray.
