Can't believe its time for a new thread already.

Lee Trundle just scored for Neath against Aalesund in the Europa League. I expect Richie Partridge will be in action for The New Saints against Cliftonville later on as well as possibly Duffer and Stephen Kelly against Runavik.

EDIT: Partridge on the bench for TNS.

He should be resting.
I don't know, these kinds of matches should be harmless for the most part...he did go 90 minutes though which probably wasn't necessary. Kelly was an unused sub in their match, Partridge came on in the 72nd for TNS in a 1-1 draw, and Trundle played the full 90 (his side ended up losing 4-1)

I was disappointed not to see Conor Henderson in Arsenal's 23 man touring party. Thought he wud get some serious pre-season game time. Hopefully he'll get a good loan move this season

Ya I follow him already on Twitter. I tried to knock a bit of banter out of Meyler already but went down like a lead balloon. Think I'll hold off this time around and play the Wenger voyeur role, and just observe. Once bitten twice shy and all that . . .

Lee Frecklington comes off the transfer list at Peterborough. Spoke to a couple of season ticket holders at a P'boro game last season and the really rate him but he doesnt stay fit for long enough periods.

Doyler scored in Wolves' 2-1 loss to Crewe today

Just saw Doyle's goal. It was an absolute peach. He showed great strength and balance to hold off a defende about 7/8 yards outside the box, then he planted it into the top right corner with his left foot. He then turned around and nonchalantly strolled back to the half way line as if he does it week in and week out

Much like with Pennant (and to some degree Stokes and Walters), this may be clutching at straws but Luke Chambers and Lewis McGugan both scored for Nottingham Forest in their 2-1 victory over Northampton

Just working on updating the site for the new season, hoping someone can help me with the following
Andrew Callaghan, once of Millwall, can't find anything about him
Is Rob Kiernan still with Watford or has he moved on?
David Bevan was with Walsall at the end of last season, but he's not in the squad list on wikipedia, is he still there?

Kiernan is a free agent after rejecting a contract with Watford and it was said Wigan were looking at him.
David Bevan has left Walsall though he too was apparently offered a contract.
Haven't heard Callaghan's name in a long time, last I can remember he was at Cray Wanderers (I think, maybe Crawley) a few years ago

Patrick Cregg played in the Cosmos Copa NYC tournament* last week as an "overseas draftee": http://irishecho.com/?p=65720

He cited in particular 25-year-old Patrick Cregg, one of three “overseas” draftees allowed, who began his career with a handful of appearances with Arsenal in the league cup in 2004-2005. The Dubliner Cregg has since played 144 games in the Scottish Premier League for Falkirk, Hibernian and lately St. Mirren and has won Under-19 and Under-21 honors for Ireland.

“You could see he was a class above in terms of his technical ability, his awareness,” said the Ireland boss. “And as the tournament goes on, he will improve.

“A lot of MLS [Major League Soccer] teams are watching him during this tournament,” added Grogan, whose own Manchester United career was cut short by injury<EDIT>

Ireland went out in the quarter finals, losing 3-1 to Mexico with Cregg grabbing the goal: http://cosmoscopa.com/news/quarterfinal-recap

According to this - http://www.mls-rumors.net/18208/2011/07/incoming-irish-midfielder-patrick-cregg-to-fc-dallas - he could be moving to FC Dallas

Interesting that Haiti got beat so bad, they had quite a few full internationals in that team. Perhaps you should offer your services to those folks Tets, that site is atrocious.

David Elebert was released, one poster on a Accies forum said he's off to Cyprus (no idea about that though his teammate Mickael Antoine-Curier did just move to Cyprus).

Bit better quality here.

Great prospect, he has some naem to live up to.

On a side note, this threads title is a bit stupid given as by and large 95% of the Irish in the forum are abroad.

I would make more sense to have an Irish not abroad thread1!

Also I just realise he has two names to live up to, Robbie Keane and Liam Brady!!
