View Full Version : FAI Junior Cup 2010/11

Actually the organisers of th FAI Junior Cup do need to take a look at whats quite evident to the naked eye.
Why pitch West Waterford in with Tipperary South and North?
Why have so many teams from Cork in latter stages when past performance does not merit same?
Why have only two reps from WJL which, if scrutinized, probably has the highest ratio of teams reaching the latter rounds of the competition, given the amount of teams qualifying?
So when viewed from this perspective, NO, the organisers of the competition DO NOT HAVE sufficient information on the make up of the FAI Junior Cup.
Looks like the organiser's need to meet up with you. Or even better change hands.

That might be a good idea.
Thanks!
Any thoughts on the statistics provided by other contributors in relation to the debate regarding qualification for latter stages of FAI Junior Cup?

bad call from aisling if that was the case they have to go up to carew and play it anyway why not do it when the likes of john boyle and others are not fit. heard a few aisling players were not happy with dalton when they heard he refused to transfer it to carew.

The match still has to be played for the players to serve their suspension the fact that the match was called off doesent count.
If the match was called off the home team lose home advantage dont think the ref can switch the match on the day.

Pike 9 - 0 Knocklong before it was called off (8-0 up at half time I think it was)
was pike game blown up early or was it called off cause of weather, if called off cause of weather will hardly be replayed if pike were 9-0 up

when is the draw for the 4th round lads??
The draw was made over a week ago but as usual the FAI are playing their games i e not releasing it until they think we are ready.
All it does is cast suspicion on the organisation and with good cause.
Power can really go to ones head!

No excuses in fairness, Castle Rvs fully desreved their win and best of luck to them for the rest of the season.
That said, we were woeful this morning, started well and went 1-0 up, but took the foot off the gas after 30mins, and allowed Castle back into the game.
They went 2-1 up from two defensive errors, and when we pushed to try and make it 2-2 they caught us on the break to win it 3-1.
The sooner we get our missing players back the better, coz we clearly dont have a big enough squad to cope when players are missing.
Also want to send my condolances to the Grimes and Murphy families on their recent losses.
