Wolves concede a winning position again - 10 minutes to get the lead back (and try to get out of the bottom 3).

Johnson had been on the pitch for 18 seconds when he scored.

To be fair, Wolves didn't deserve to win. It looked increasingly likely fulham would score throughout the match. Wolves should be quite happy with the point imo. They're badly missing Doyler

Just a reminder of the run in.
Sunday 01st May 2011
Birmingham City (38) v Wolverhampton Wanderers 12:00
Saturday 07th May 2011
Wolverhampton Wanderers v West Bromwich Albion (40) 15:00
Saturday 14th May 2011
Sunderland (41) v Wolverhampton Wanderers 15:00
Sunday 22nd May 2011
Wolverhampton Wanderers v Blackburn Rovers (35) 15:00
I have put the opposition point in bold, 2 teams are safe 1 is right in it and another is virtually safe (Birmingham) but will want points next week. They also lost 5-0 today.

You forgot the Stoke game, which is on at 7.45pm tonight. I think 7 points from their last 5 might do it. They've managed 5 points in their last 5 games against much stronger opposition, so you never know. Their run in is as good as it gets anyway — 5 games against 5 teams of a similar standard.

I copied the list from this post:

And assumed it was correct, anyway thanks for pointing that out.
Looks like a tough match for Wolves, a win for Stoke puts them safe for sure maybe a draw would suit both, Stoke definite won't want to lose (obviously).
Anyway, thanks for reminding me, I might see if I can find a stream, apparently Stephen Hunt
has recovered from injury and is available for selection.
Some match facts
Head-to-head
• Stoke have only won one of their last six home matches against Wolves, a 2-1 Championship victory in August 2004.
Stoke
• Stoke have only taken six points from their last eight games.
• They have not lost a league match in which they opened the scoring (W8, D4).
• The Potters have the worst first-half record in the division: they have led at the interval in only four of their 33 matches.
Wolves
• They have the worst away record in the top flight, accruing only two wins and eight points.
• Mick McCarthy's side have lost 18 league matches - the equal-most in the division with Blackpool.
• Kevin Foley could make his 150th start for Wolves

More Irish in the Stoke side incidentally.

2:0 down at HT could have been more, can't see Wolves getting back into this one.
Pennant assist for first I think he should throw on Hunt asap someone has to make
an impact and the 11 wolves on the pitch have failed to do so.

I didn't see tonight's game but Wolves were poor in Saturday's game. Bad timing to have a bad run.
Wang? Paul, I can understand a misspelling and you did get close enough to the "t" on the keyboard, but why go to all the bother of capatalising the word?

I saw a fair bit of the game Stoke were always the stronger side Wolves created very little, mind you two of Stokes
goals were deflected but then they were the one pressurising the goal. Stoke look like they really wanted the result
and were pressing all the time, Wolves struggled to go forward, maybe they think there are easier points to be had on
the run in, and rightly so. Pennant was impressive

You'd have been surprised if Wolves had gotten anything out of this. Stoke are on a really good run right now and I'd fancy them to win at Wembley.
Sorry, Wangbley.

Wolves currently 1-0 up away to Birmingham. Foley, Ward...Stearman & O'Hara all starting. Hunt....& Hammill on the bench. Ward won the penalty which was scored by Fletcher. Carr starts for Birmingham, Fahey on the bench.
edit - 1-1 now but Birmingham down to 10 men

Hunt putting in a great high-energy performance with top quality corners and crosses into the box.
At least we have someone half-decent to replace Duff for the next few games.
Can't see Wolves keeping up this intensity for the whole game.
Hope they can hold on for the win.

Hunt looked very good in that game. Very sharp and energetic. Towards the end his man went by him but he managed to make up 15 or 20 yards to go and win it back. Great to see.

Ward almost scored goal of the season. Great flick over the defender. Mom for me was between Hunt, Fletcher and Hennessy.
Delighted for Wolves, massive result which they needed to win. In their hands now and have a great chance of surviving.
Didnt see the game but great to hear the good reports of Hunty.

They were well worth the win. Mick seriously needs to get a psychologist in. Watching that was like watching us in the good ol days.
Hennessy made a cracking point blank save.

Sunderland are safe now so will perhaps take the foot off the gas. Blackburn probably won't be safe and probably have better players, but Wolves should be favourites at home. Defoe's goal yesterday looking like it will be hugely important.
Wigan could get quite conceivably get four points from their last two games, so I am anticipating 40 points will be needed to stay up.
From MOTD highlights tonight, S Ward also looked to have a very strong game for Wolves.

Definetely his best game for Wolves and he seems to have found his best position as the strike partner for Fletcher. Very impressed with Ward's pace, tackling, passing and tackling today. Looks a much improved player and seems to be playing with a lot of confidence. He followed a West Brom player all the way back to his own dead ball line today to make a great tackle late in the second half.

I decided his last tackle was worth the price of two! Very impressed with Ward today Stutts and hope he can keep playing to the same level. I expect to see him in the whittled down panel for the upcoming games. Definetely offers something different form our other front players.

I've heard it as so forgettable they had to name it twice so it would stick (and I agree).

A win for Wolves would put them on 40 points, however they have 2 goals better goal difference.
But a win and a defeat might reduce that.
There is a good chance someone will go down on goal difference.
Ward was 3rd best rated on Sky Sports, Hunt 2nd, and the double scoring Fletcher top.

Big plus to have Hunt back, combined well with Ward who also had a great game, good delivery from corners
lead to two of the goals, gets the ball over the first man (surprising how many people don't!!) and into the danger zone.
A couple more performances like that should see them safe.

Ward very nearly scored a magical goal, he was running towards goal, three defenders in front of him. He lofts the ball over the defenders head running to meet it on the other side, hit it quite well but just wide. Wouldve been a serious goal if it went in.

Yes that was a great effort, very close to going in, just seemed to curve away at the last moment but he did great to clean through.
