Moy Villa 3 Claremorris B 4....SURPRISE RESULT.
Claremorris came from 3-1 down...defended for long periods, and relied on counter attacks to steal a victory. Terrible conditions for a game.

No more thursday games. Sept 27th is a free week so i assume one of the rnds will be played on this date and the other round in october. No doubt the weather will play havoc again this weekend

I think they are run about 2 or 3 times a year.
Ive been waiting for a Kickstart 2 course, but they only happen about once a year.
But they are very good for ideas towards training underage.

Does the league really matter? Its like playing in a pub league. Teams field any player they like. Registrations dont matter? What a complete joke!

Conn Rangers 5 Cross 0, well deserved win for Conn Rangers, Cross not at full strength and everytime thats happened this year (and it's happened a lot!) and we've played the top teams we've got a hiding. Conn Rangers have some excellent young players and a nice pitch.

i cant wait for the day you stop using the excuse about being understrength, eveytime ye got beat this year you said this, do you not think every team has players injured and on holidays and work commitments every week. every team is in the same situation

I dont think Noel was giving an excuse - merely information. In the home game against Conn we had a full team and this was reflected in that result.

I feel Cross has done well this year. They have a low number of players, are squeezed by Ballinrobe and Moyne Villa (Galway), they do not have their own ground and have no underage structure. They are only formed a few years and have taken points of some good teams. Credit where it's due. :)

Yesterdays game showed how good Conn Rangers are. They played lovely football and the game was very clean with the exception of one tackle which we will not talk about (poor lad -rush of blood). Conn were very good on the wing and their two big centre backs were difficult to get by. Providing they can keep their young players they are capable of playing much higher in the league.

Sorry I didn't realise I was turning into a whinger! It's been a frustrating year as last year we had a small panel but very few changes throughout the year and we were lucky with injuries. This year has been the opposite.

It's very tight at the top now, Moy Villa should win it and although Conn Rangers would be favourites for 2nd it's still very tight. Will there be a playoff between the 3rd place team and the 3rd from bottom team in Div 1 for promotion/relegation?

No - just 2 up and 2 down

Moy Villa will win division - playing great football - it be interesting to see will David Clarke stay as their keeper ......
