Wouldn't have anything to do with a handy form of transport in times of great flood, by any chance?

Trevor Brooking!

Thats the normal answer with that question!

For future reference, Sir Trev did it in 1980. The "it" being score the winning goal in the FA Cup final, unless thischarmingman had something else in mind...

Ha. I immediately thought of George Boateng.

Nit picking here - but Keith Gillespie wasn't sent off "0 sec" into the match. Try wording it correctly the next time.

There was a story in the paper a few years ago of (one of) the fastest sending off from the start of a match - although it was down around Sunday league territory. Ref blew the whistle to start the match; Player says "F**k me, that's loud", and gets sent off.

*giggle*

And indeed a boat would probably be better than a canoe if the flood was very bad! Never thought about this before (probably with good reason), but Kanu's body-shape is actually kinda like a canoe - a long, thin, elongated structure. Funny how those kinda things serendipitously occur sometimes. Like Fats Domino being named 'Fats', what are the chances eh!

Take a guess Jose Luis Chilavert he had 4 brothers not sure they played football though. A legend of a Keeper , scored some great free kicks
