2 pj calvey
3 ray mcloughlin
4 brian kennedy
5 colin cameron
6 seamus higgins
7 john needham
8 shane togg
9 james vahey
10 vinny o malley
11 chris ryder
subs used
12 paul croden
13 brian fahey
14 john walsh
might have a few spellings wrong but thats who played. not sure where all the kids are tb is referring to. if this is their squad for the year then i cant see anyone stopping them then again last sunday was against celltic
Have to agree that they are VERY strong, in saying that IF we took our chances and kidnapped O'Malley we could have sneaked it ;)
That Ryder lad was handy on the left and Ray McLoughlin was spraying the ball around the back.
Not sure about the keeper though, not hectic kickouts so could be a weak link, in saying that our keeper was quite "Graham Norton" in some of the clearances on Sunday ;)
Who will stop them God knows, Swinford I have not seen yet, Erris could be strong if they keep Carolan in the squad and fit.

I think Chris Ryder has signed A and I would imagine Ray Mc Loughlin has too but I'm not sure. Either way this team will walk the league. The experience Brian and Vinny will bring them will be massive. Loads of young lads coming through too. Has it been decided what happens if one of the B teams comes in the top 2? Does it mean a super league team stays up? Think there has been a rule change...
surely chris ryder is not eligable to play B games if hes signed A. port would never be that stupid???

Yes we had a good team out also, the difference was VOM, if he was on the end of our chances maybe it would have us 3-0 up and thats no disrespect to the lads who had our chances, none were easy.
Robbie played well in a midfield role.

Was at the swinford v westport game this evening, great display from swinford.Would have kept a clean sheet only for a soft peno given by a shocking call by the ref.Great start to the year,if they can keep this form up they will be hard bet.

Yeah think so i heard one of the boys saying they had five or six first teamers playing. Big keeper called martin,A centre back think they were calling him brian.left back called ray, some vinny lad upfront, nice player and a couple of midfielders.
I thought Swinford were too fit for them, gave them no chance to play.Sean Kav has them in great shape.

it was a good game between two good teams but ye are all getting carry away - only 3 games play - however i think these 2 teams and erris b will decide the premier division this year ..... but its an awful long way to go - partry could be a surprise package

Great win for ye. Have not seen Eris b play, but if Partry beat them they cant be great. Ye look the team to beat.

Have you seen Partry play? I don't think so or you wouldn't have made such a nonsensical statement. Partry will be there or thereabouts this season and apart from the derby loss in the first game have been good value for their two wins so far.

You don't think that justifys your original statement do you?
You can't make a statement about a team unless you have ACTUALLY seen them play! That is insulting in the extreme.:(

How do you know what the premier division is like when all ye have played is 1 team from the division that prob had a poor team out cause they would not want to cup tie any A team players. You can comment on the division when ye get there.....;)

Two premier division sides defeated at home to lower division sides. All I am saying is the quality of football between the divisions (excluding the SL) is not that great. Furthmore the fact that you admitt that "B" teams need "A" players to get results goes to prove that maybe those teams are punching above their weight and would struggle without them

You can hardly say that a team like Erris that got to an all ireland semi final would have a B team not good enough for the mayo premier division:confused:.Our A team bet a westport team that had 5 first team players playing that day so maybe the standard of our division is not that bad after all;);)

Just because an A team is doing well and has good players does not automatically mean that the B team will be just as good. Some super league teams have B teams playing in lower divisions, but that doesnt sugest for 1 minute that they r entitled to be in the premier division. I remember 2 seasons ago whe Erris A finished just above the drop zone in the SL. My suggestion was that there is not a great deal between the lower division sides and in some cases promotion and relegation can be down to the hop of the ball or poor refereeing decisions on any given day. Having said all that Eris B are a very good side and I think they will do very well this season even if they dont have any A players

Long way to go but if we can hold on to all our players i would like to think we will be in with a shout come September. Thankfully we are no longer depending on any GAA lads and have soccer only squad, so unless lads leave looking for work we could do O.K. Good foundation laid with 4 from 4 this term so lets hope we can build on it. Your A team are flying also with 3 from 3 so lets hope we bring some silverware to the east of the county :D

It could be 1st round fixture between Castlebar Town and Ballina Town 'B' I think, Both teams have withdrawn from the league. Funny how they were drawn against each other and both withdrew. But i think thats where the mystery is
