I Hate to say it but in the last two games against pike we seem to have alot to do and lack quality around the goals ,i think pike had ten just before kick off and i know we were short hefo but pike had 1 sub and he looked 16 i was certain before the kick off we were going to beat them, chucka was unlucky with the header to make it 2 1 but pike missed a few great chances,it is hard too take but we will bounce back it has been a great season munster junior great start for jason.

Pike had the bare 11 starting tonight, Declan Casey togged out for there 2 subs at the start of the game and Dave O'Grady arrived after 20minutes. Connie was still suspended And young Dean is barely 16 I believe.

To my cound Pike have played 47 games this season...A hell of a big ask for a bunch of amateur players in my opinion. Most can't wait for the break at this stage.

For the match, Both teams looked tired out there, with probably Pike looking the stronger, only just though, Fairview just seem to be missing that last piece for a decent team. The first sending off well...All 6 studs showing and a mile above the ball equal a sending off for me, especially where he caught the player...

Pike had 1 goal ruled offside in the second half and a rasper of a shot from O'Shea crack the crossbar. Fairview for their trouble didn't muster much up front, a cracker of a header from Chucka in the first half pinged off the crossbar but not much else to comment on besides the goal.

to say pike are not interested in the lawson is a joke no team ever won the treble and we want to do that think the players that turned up deserve the credit we were running on empty.its not our fault that we didnt have a full squad through injuries and work.the referee was poor for both teams there can be no excuses for the view losing to us again in my opinion they dont have the believe,we always believed we wuold get a second thats the difference between us is believe and at the moment the view just dont have it.pike P48 W 41 L5 D2 thats our record this year think any team would be proud of it

I Wouldnt agree i thought the ref done well, dont think the first sending off was a straight red and judge was unlucky hes young and needs to mature abit,it was tough losing last night we are disappointed but munster jun is a great season and the lads gave it there all last night.

how can u say he didnt deserve to be sent off , he went straight over the top of moloney, as for the ref even the fair view player were complaining, lines men werent much help either, for a team that won a cup like munster junior , i thought we would of had a hard battle last night to beat them after winning the league on there home pitch , fair view have some great players but lack belief that pike have :p

Are you off your head . Those kind of stupid and cowardly tackle can end careers .Both teams looked very tired last night , and with the grass up to your ankles it doesnt help . still thought it was an exciting game .

seems like a good footballing side like the view are really struggling against pike their arch nemisis this year (touhy final, league, lawson), it is a good job for the view that they did not meet in the mjc..:D

seriously though the view seem to lose their composure when playing pike, 3 plaers off in 2 games they have lost recently, the pitch with long grass to stop pikes flowing football, well maybe it was too wet to cut...:p

another good result for pike...

also in fairness mungret played some great football and the second goal was an excellent one with the ball played around on the deck. They are a good football team but maybe just a bit light . Boro are a very big , strong and physical tam and this lack of physicality could catch Mungret out next year, so think they may need a few new big, physical players next year .

sorry left back picked me up a small bit wrong there, i didn mean ye are not interested in winning it obviously every team wants to win every game and for ye especially against the view. what i was trying to say was if it was possibly regional or aa that ye played last night i dont thing it would have hurt that much if they beat ye. its nice to win everything but you need a break at some stage too.

must be pike as the view won 6 out of 7 trophies (mjc, fai, league, lawson , tsb + 1 more) in 98/99 i think....losing the league cup (touhy) to charleville...

that was 10 years ago and it will be a while before any other team does that...

Pike 4-1 Mungret

Pike went 1 up through Keith Hartnett, and scored a second through Pa Moloney, Mungret pulled a goal back before HT with a deflected shot to make it 2-1 at HT.

Pike then scored 2 without reply in the second half through Hanrahan and another from Moloney at the end.

Poor game, Pike deserved winners.

Dunno their keeper. He was the b keeper. 2. Jamie Enright. 3. Eugene MacNamara. 4. Mark Finucane. 5. Ian Hughes. 6. Mark Power. 7. Aled Harkin. 8. Brian Ahern. 9. Des O Donoghue. 10. Ger Bourke. 11. Ian Dunworth....Mark Power and Aled in center midfield first half. Looked like they changed it second half and dropped Ger bourke back in with them leaving Des up front alone

you better believe it we would, but we know its coming hopefully sooner rather than later. Fairview v Pike games are the best games in the city at any time the year. Just as well our B team never lose to pike's B team or we would never sleep.
