    Anyone remember this game?

Someone on the SocaWarriors forum brought it up and immediately the memories started coming back. FIFA Road to the World Cup '98. I remember playing it with my brother on Nintendo 64.

My most recent game (dont know why the pitch is blue)

Had it on the PS1 still probably the most fun football game ever. Song 2 by Blur as the theme tune, loved it.

What a game. I still play it ever now and again. I know graphics and AI have come on leaps and bounds by now but it brought me hours of enjoyment.

I don't believe that makes a better game either. I prefer playing the old school simple N64 games like Mario Kart, Mario Golf, etc. to the new Halo, Call of Duty etc (I don't have any system newer than PS2 but even with friends). Same with sports games, Madden 94 or NFL Blitz 2000 > Madden 2010 and FIFA 98 > FIFA 01 > FIFA 03 > FIFA 06 > FIFA 10 (I have the first four on that list). I'd rather play a simple game than one where all 50 buttons do something slightly different.

Had Road to on PC without a controller, so I used the keyboard. I discovered very quickly that I needed to stop playing or never talk of more than one of anything in email ever again! Great game.
That question was less stupid, though you asked it in a profoundly stupid way.

Help me, Arthur Murphy, you're my only hope!

Absolutely. Never found a football game to better Sensible Soccer myself (around 1995?).

Why are the players doing a jig in that bottom picture?

That would be this one (FIFA 98 RTWC which is different than FIFA 98)

Not sure that entirely answers my question!

    R-Type was AMAZING.
I like high energy football. A little bit rock and roll. Many finishes instead of waiting for the perfect one.
