Bohemians v Rhyl - Intertoto Cup

Any video/audio links of tonight's Intertoto game? (ko 1900 BST)

I am hoping to go to the second leg if Rhyl get a reasonable result tonight, but it will be tough with out of season players against a side top of the league.

Bohs ready to kick-off Euro campaign

Bohemians take on Rhyl FC of Wales on Saturday in what will be the 400th European fixture involving League of Ireland clubs. The Gypsies travel to Wales confident of victory but manager Pat Fenlon says he is not taking anything for granted.

"If we play the game at a good tempo then I'd be happy enough we can progress but it's a difficult one for us because it's not really like a European game, it's more like a league game. "But we'll prepare the players for it, give them plenty of information over the next day or two and hopefully we'll do the job."

    Fenlon points to fitness advantage

Bohemians manager Pat Fenlon feels his side’s advantage in match fitness could be the deciding factor in the Intertoto Cup tie against Welsh side Rhyl. Rhyl visit Dalymount Park tonight (Saturday) for a first leg tie before the return in Wales in seven days’ time.

And Fenlon reckons Bohs’ summer soccer schedule gives them an advantage over a Rhyl side playing its first competitive fixture since April. He said: “It’s going to be hard for Rhyl. They’ve only just finished a long, hard season, had a short break, and will only have had a couple of warm-up games before they face us, whereas our season started in March."

    Odds are there alright

The only people who care about the inter toto are the clubs involved.

    Why was this moved?

Surely any Irish team in Europe has relevance beyond the team involved?

Start an Irish teams in Europe 2008 thread so. I am not leaving any more club specific threads in the eL section, far too much hassle dealing with the arguments over it. Everything gets moved from now on.

I think 3-10 is smashing value, Bohs should win 3 or 4-0 imo.

Good work Dodge, I should get you a job in PR!
I phoned the speaking clock to hear a voice speak, it said - "At the tone you will be very much alone"

I was at the game - Bohs owned the second half, after being unlucky to be down at the end of the 1st

5:1 was a fair result IMO

    Absolutely nuts.
In case you hadn't noticed, Bohs already has a busy MB, as have many other clubs, and the club forum on foot.ie is a sideshow.
Many people come here to share information between clubs: putting threads into ghettoes is working precisely against that.
It strikes me that I've read lots in the past about Cork's exploits in Europe on the general foot.ie forum, and rightly so.
