im totally confused kiely played more then 5 games with the senior team last season so he cant play Mun junior this year,if his U21 he can play but players over 21 can play in the 21s.he won the Mun senior last season with limerick making him cup tied for this seasons Mun junior but he played anyway.....now that i think of it,its straight forward enough.honestly im lost

    how can you be lost.

ken kiely has played more than 5 senior games with limerick. he is under 21 but this does not matter whether your 21 or 41. if you play 5 senior games the MUNSTER COUNCIL has a rule saying you cannot play in the munster junior therefore he is illegal.

i watched limerick fc alot last season and im telling ye now ken keily played alot more than 5 games for limerick. we (carew) lost out on a fai cup fianl and prob an fai winners medal a couple of seasons back for breaking the rules stupidly if clonmel broke the rules they should be kick out simple as that. and if they are throw out there commitee should resign on the spot

leather has got it wrong. once you play 6 games you cannot play.

therefore clonmel are in right trouble. if clonmel do get away with this then BACKOFTHENET and ALLAB are right. the young lad with balla should be left play.

so its either put pike back in or leave other players that are coming back from loi play

I would like to coment on the other half of then clonmel situation.Alan Coady who was sent off against St Michael s never even served an automatic one match ban before appeal.Paul Quinn got sent off against pike two weeks before Balla played ST Michael s in MJC.The thing is Balla were supposed to play Star the week before but the game was called off,so Paul Quinn could not play against St Michael s on appeal because he did not serve his automatic one match ban.MJC Council told Balla commitee that was the case.If Alan Coady played against pike he was illegal end of story.Along with the Ken Kiely situation Clonmel should be thrown out and Pike put into the semi s.RULES ARE RULES.

    Towns current position

If the match you are refering to was canceled then thats called a postponement. However if the opposing team fails to field a team then a walkover is awarded and this constitutes a fulfilled fixture i.e Coadys one match suspension. If you are going to quote rules try to get it right. I cant comment on the Ken Kiely situation at the moment but if Town are to suffer any sanctions it definetley wont be as a result of Coadys participation in the match.

    Here is my opinion.

In the past, the LFA (I know different Association) and the FAI have deemed that a competitive match is a match that is actually played (needs not be concluded). If a teams fails to show, a suspension is NOT automatically served (this caused a rumpus in the LSL last season). If this happens the suspension is carried over to the next competitive fixture.

Rule 47 (3) sending off offences (a)(ii) states "In all other matches played under the auspices of the Football Association of Ireland an expulsion automatically incurs a suspension from the next competitive match. A player sent from the field of play shall serve an automatic suspension at the same level of football i.e. a player sent from the field of play in a 1st team fixture may not serve an automatic suspension in a reserve team fixture and vice-verse."

Also if Ken Kiely played for Limerick in the FAI Senior Cup Last year, he is ineligible for the MFA Junior Cup this season (Rule 2 of the Munster Junior Cup Rules), did he not play against Drogheda in the first game last year and in the second game coming on a last minute replacement for John Lester?.

However the sting in tail for Pike is Rule 18 of the MFA general competition rules "Teams playing ineligible players will be fined for each offence and may be removed from the competition.".

The word MAY permits the MFA to allow Clonmel remain in the competition. However I don't think this will happen.
Its easy to shout abuse at the ref - how would you like it if he did it back?

would hate to see clonmel go out of cup like this. but rules are rules i suppose its a pity cause they had great chance of making 4 mjc finals in a row which would have been great achievement

Could there be a possibility of a replay with Pike?

A bit like what happened with Carew a few years back when they had an objection against them in the fai.

They werent kicked out but had to replay the game.
