Who knows, that may well turn out to happen but he did sign a contract until the end of 2025 in May. Working away from his family isn’t a new thing to him either, he’s worked in Finland in 2020 and 2021 until coming to Pats for the last 2 seasons so he’s not had a prolonged spell at home in Scotland in a good few years now

With Axworthy re-signing today, looks like he'll be the settled No 1 for 2024.

He's the Games Development Officer in Laois, which would involve a lot of travelling to schools and clubs - these annual accounts are for Louth, but would be representative of the average intercounty set-up:

No new signings yet to suggest an improvement in cutting out sloppy defensive errors. The biggest challenge for the coaching team.

Impressive lack of awareness from him in his PR quotes, referring to "Longford football club" and how impressive it is that they're "100 years in the league". You'd think the club would amend that before putting it on our own website.

Tbh you would be afraid to say it to them face to face look what happened to me.
Gary Cronin is he the right man to manage Longford Town?

I don't feel all that strongly about it but it's a simple little edit to make before publishing and I'm sure the player would be happy not to look stupid.

Ryan McLaughlin has signed back for another season. He looked good in the Cork cup semi. A handy player to have in the squad.

Ngl, never even twigged it myself, just the wrong turn of phrase. Thought it was nice to see a player mentioning the Centenary year. I will highlight it, albeit bit late now. And don't worry I'm sure the club won't ban you for having a different opinion on something, that's not how it works despite the false narrative continuously being spread by one poster on here.

Confirmation from Bohs that Coote, O'Sullivan, Nowak, Twardek and Williams have left the club along with Radkowski's loan expiring. Big rebuilding job required with the defence now considering the two Polish lads played nearly every game.

Not sure if this gives Devine more excuses next season or fewer. He now has none of what some would consider "the dead weight" left from Longs reign but there will have to be a significant number of signings made to replace them. I don't think there are enough defenders at the club at the moment to field a starting 11 so would want to look at that as a point of priority and a striker or we could end up in the situation Sligo found themselves in last season i.e. selling their best players mid season and hoping next season is better.

Six players out and only one in means another rebuild. More excuses when it's not going well. I hope Fenlon has done some good research to track down some quality for Devine and it needs to happen fast to get them to gel.
