I more so meant improvements to the general Stadium , any meaningful improvements beyond repairs (which are a bit of a waste if you then rebuild) would need planning permission etc. even with no objections and there is always some nutter out there it would be almost impossible to get done in6 months

There is no reason why toilets couldn't be sorted out for next season though, even a temporary cover for the away section should be straightforward.

Absolutely there are probably things they could do straight away, but even laying out the plans for what they were going to build commencing Nov17 to be ready for 2018 season would be motivational for both supporters and sponsors. nice to see your concern for us traveling hoops in the rain : )

It would appear but not announced yet, that a deal has been finally agreed with all parties involved in the lease of Oriel Park. If this is correct, the club can look at all options of much needed redevelopment and hopefully focus on the priority, the changing of the pitch.

Another issue though is levies being sought by Louth Co Co it appears, although these were from the previous regime, this might be a massive stumbling block to get over.

If true then that's great news for Dundalk.
The next problem will be getting planning permission for any sort of decent development at the stadium.

Louth Council are looking for €450k in planning levies for the large shed in Oriel Park. If the club take over the lease from the previous owner they want to get this cash from the club.

That's because Dundalk have all their players.
If you look at the Dundalk squad the majority are Dubs.
No wonder there are no decent Dublin teams.
When Dublin City folded they moved to Dundalk
