All the money must have gone in to the Umbro signage at the time!

The view this morning from the top of the crane that has put in place one of the floodlights. I'd say less than half the pre-cast in there. With over a month to go till the cork game it shoild be ready for that I'd imagine.

That pitch looks in really good nick. Looking forward to visiting, not the worst idea to have us for the opener there, we'll bring a big crowd and regardless of the home attendance it will be a good occasion. Hopefully we don't out number you though.

Ya the pitch should be top notch. Has been looked after really well, sanded a few times, has drainage in place etc...

As far as I know the away allocation will be limited to the capacity that it can hold which is around 600. That probably won't be known for sure until it is nearly completed though.

With the right advertising and a few decent results we could be looking at 1,500 home fans easily. A lot will come just for a look as much as anything.

YA a lot poles in the front of the stand will be annoying
The STADIUM in the distance looks impressive

It is dissapponting that this is what they will end up with given the amount of money that has been pumped into Limerick.

It's a starting point at least right? it's an upgrade from Jackman Park so it's a step in the right direction in my opinion.

It's not amazing and everyone would have liked better, the fans raised issues about it but nothing could be done as it is completely in the hands of the LEDP. One of the main issues I'd have is they have said there is room for expansion but because they have made the pitch big enough to accommodate GAA it has taken away a lot of the space that was there.

That's an absolutely HUGE step up from Jackman and anyone who suggests otherwise wants their heads examined. Jesus feckin christ, it's not even finished yet. The pitch looks immaculate and that'll be a fine main stand once it's finished. There's huge development potential there for at least another big stand across from the main stand and obviously there's yet the away stand to go in. The poles at the front of the stand are unfortunate alright, but if that's all that ends up wrong with the ground then feck it.

It's a start for Limerick and a positive move in the right direction for a club that's played in a stadium both far too big in Thomond and a stadium not fit for use in Jackman.

It'll never be finished in time for the Cork game if the crane driven doesn't keep his eye on the job.

Agree with this what do people expect a 15,000 all seater it's a start also there is a stand been built behind the goal for away fans not sure the capacity of it been honest.
It will have probably the best pitch in LOI football iv seen it its like a billiard table been really looked after for over a year now.
Also new state of the art dressing rooms talking to one of the builders working on them said there fantastic huge. Media room aswell.

Bit better the jackman I'd say.

Going by recent statements it doesn't seem like they are building a stand anymore for away fans but are putting in one that can be taken away again. Similar to the one in Bray and Wexford Youths. That's the impression I got from a de-mountable stand anyway.

very few games played at the Aviva, there could be a game every week in MF, the whole new pitch novelty could wear off quickly depending on finances

You're very negative. We're gettin a ground handed to us. A ground regarded by many as our spiritual home. I can't see what there is to be negative about to be honest.

Ya I suppose you're right it's just a pity after seeing the original plans that POS unveiled (I know, I know). The MF will certainly do for now and hopefully there's room for expansion if needed..
