Just an observation - Town A team managed to have both their games kicking off at the later time (7.30), while Olympic A have both there matches kicking off at the earlier time (615) ? Is it not easier for the team to prepare and have players available with the later kick-off time ?

Second
Makes no sense to me to play them ? at this stage of pre-season you would imagine managers would be trying to get all signed players as much game time as possible ? in fairness monaghan & tino would be great addation to any teams but no disrespect to any of the shannon teams but the two lads would be taking a step back signing for any shannon team![]()

Got to the Town A v Hibs game - some thoughts from it....
It was closer than the end scoreline suggests. Town were gifted 3 goals and the peno retake was a joke.
Hibs tired beyond belief, considering it was only 30 mins per half.
Don't know what Big Daddy was doing playing Monaghan and Tino - everyone knows they are going to play in Galway, some message to send to the players that are signed and sitting on the bench.
Gerry Kelly still has something to offer, but not sure he will be capable of starting league games - last 30/20 mins player for the season, younger lads on the bench can't be happy with that.
They have a lot of midfielders, and looked solid in that department, might be hard to keep them all happy, they were missing Darcy last night as well which means even more competition for places.
What are they going to do for a goalkeeper - don't think Newmarket will let Skinny play every week during the seasonand can't see Shire commuting from the U.S.
Hibs unlucky to lose the likes of Rob Wall and Jamie - they are Hibs men, but have left when needed most.
It will be a long season for Hibs. Not too sure what it will be like for Town, thought they had a lot more to offer.
On a side note, I see Town A have another 7.30 kick off for the semi-final, they must have a bit of pull with the fixture secretary![]()

Shuffle - where did I say I was impressed ? I was kinda the opposite of impressed, but maybe my post above is not clear...
I would expect Olympic to win, but in 90 mins of football - sorry 60 mins of football, anything is possible - I suppose it's more possible in 60, than 90 mins...
Hibs no 10 looked decent enough and they have some decent players, but very unfit and decision making on the ball was questionable at times.
I know I joked about the KO time for Town A, but does anyone know why they are lucky enough to have the late kick-off every time ? Just wondering because it's a tad unfair![]()
