With half the amount of fans as the other games.
It will be Derry/Sligo. The current champions are always first on tv.
Happy enough with our list in general. There's a potential title decider in Tallaght on the last night, first time we've played the same opposition last in successive seasons since 1999.

We should see some bumper crowds on the opening night with Derry V Sligo, Limerick V Cork and Dundalk V Rovers, good draw for the league.
BetweenTheStripes.net - Home of Between the Stripes LOI podcast.
in theory ( I stress in theory) you could argue that all the fixtures on the final night could be between pairs of teams who could be expected to be roughly similar in final position.
Its not beyond the realms of possibility that the league could finish
1 and 2 Shamrock and Sligo Rovers
3 and 4 Cork City and St. Pats Athletic
5 and 6 Derry City and Limerick
7 and 8 Drogs and Bohs
9 and 10 Bray and Dundalk
11 and 12 Shels and UCD
Of course, you could swap Bray v Dundalk and Shels v UCD or any of the middle three fixtures. This of course could be complete ****** and well off, with everything decided well before the last day.
Happy with the fixtures list especially with the teams we got at home twice this year and also we have 17 instead of 16 games at home. Dundalk were screwed over last season with the fixtures and the fixtures have been reversed this year which suits us, but at the same time I still don't think playing each team 3 times works as some teams are always going to screwed over.
I'd say Sligo vs Derry would be the game on TV. To be honest I'd much prefer not to be on the telly as I will in the ground either way and some of the part-timers may choose to stay at home and all they do is moan about how bad Oriel looks on the telly.
Our game vs Limerick was clearly arranged to help Lims kick start with a big crowd at Thomond. Which makes sense, well done to the FAI.
Looking forward to it big time. There will be a big crowd from Cork, especially with it being on in Thomond and all the talk of Limerick's money.
Any idea why FAI dont do the as most other leagues where League winners play their first game of the season at home?
Not that it matters much, but there is no way Limerick v Cork or Pats v Drogs would have been more attractive for TV, I would say it probably will be the league champions as usual kicking off the live tv game.
Actually better chance of a bigger crowd if we are not live that night.

Anyone else feel like the first game is in a couple of weeks away rather than almost three months away?
