Trap recently mentioned that he was confident Dunne, as well as O'Shea and Hunt, would be fine after a few days of training together with the squad even if they weren't to get much game time during the remainder of the PL season.

Worrying. I wonder are tardelli and trap singing from the same hymn sheet here. I dont understand for key players why managers do this. From the initial squad announcement to the first game there is about 16-20 or so days, for a professional footballer that is a very long time. About 22 days to the second game. There is a 2 week period to name Dunne, if he has to go home injured they can then call up someone else, that person on standby will be more motivated and will already be drilled in the Trap way because it will be a fringe player who has been around for a while now too.

An 80%-90% dunne against croatia on the 10th of June which is 2 weeks after May 29th is better than no Dunne at all. The next game being 3 weeks from that date. Plenty of time to build on fitness.

Sounds to me like Tardelli means Dunne won't go if he's completely crocked - there'll be no bringing him and hoping he can play against Italy kinda thing. If he's 80% for Croatia, sounds like he'll go no problem.

Yesterday's (UK) Times says Dunne's already back running and is feeling no pain in his shoulder. I'm more worried about what he's been eating since he's been out!

I'd play an 80% fit Dunne with his arm in a sling and a handful of painkillers in his gob. Still better than anything else we've got in that position.

Cuellar is a disaster waiting to happen and Villa's left back is ****e...I hope Dunne doesn't over-exert himself and risk reinjuring his shoulder but we all know he doesn't give less than 100%.

He's doing pretty well. A mistimed tackle attributed to "rustiness" but us Irish folks know better...! villa have defended well and often.
I like high energy football. A little bit rock and roll. Many finishes instead of waiting for the perfect one.

Despite giving away a penalty he had a good game. Had to defend endless corners and balls into the box and dealt with them well.

Hey guys does anyone know where i can get that post-match interview clip of Richard Dunne in Euros saying "maybe having fear of failure brings about that failure" or words to that effect after the Croatia or Spain match. Youtube or rte player doesnt have it and I'm looking for the video quote for a presentation

Ya i was worried reading that, ive thought Dunne looked disinterested in the PL the last year, and thought he was holding out for the Euros. But at the euros i thought he looked fairly disinterested as well. If he really loved it, I'm sorry, it wouldn't take him 4 weeks to decide. I'd actually worry for someone like Dunne when the football finishes.

The piece in the independent doesn't make for good reading for Enda Stevens either.

Disinterested in the PL last year? and fairly disinterested in the Euros? How do you make that out? Did he look disinterested or fairly disinterested out in Moscow?
