Come on now, describing that as an "economics lecture" is violating every description code.

whoops that waas a copy and paste error, meant for an email to an actuary mate, who is even more obnoxious and self-righteous than geysir, but in fairess he has the substance to back it up and is a very smart lad.

geysir i hardly think you are in a position to be commenting, an Irishman in Iceland ;-)

But if you do want to learn something about economics, ill be sure to educate you.

I'm a humble man of great integrity and free of debt, just like John O'Shea. Are you sure you could educate me in economics?

Fixed that for you there geysir...
Did you ever notice that in every painting of Adam & Eve, they have belly buttons. Think about that...take as long as you want.

how come you didnt catch it when you edited the post the first time? You would have had to scroll down through the whole post to get to the relevant bit. How can you copy and paste an email into a post in error and then proceed to write a post and view it without noticing?

he'll never be the main man at United but despite the temptation to give him a good shaking in his mid-twenties, what he's achieved at a club like United must be respected - all the while never getting a run in what I'd classify as his best position, centre-half. Kudos Mr JOSH, kudos.

He's been playing well of late. Makes good money and wins things. I'd be happy with a career like that.

And I knew a Paul O'Shea who lived in Chicago for a while. They sounds oddly similar! If its the same person then he's slightly odd but fundamentally decent fella and that's not a bad thing.
There is no such thing as a miracle cure, a free lunch or a humble opinion.

Well the average Irishman would be happy with that, more so the average Icelandic, so for an Irishman in Iceland, thats a very healthy position. I hope none of that debt free status was tied up in Landsbanki though As a matter of interest how did you vote on that? Were you in the 58% who said no, as I assume you are a taxpayer there, to paying back the £3bn or so that was invested by the dutch, english etc?

More than Padraig Harrington? Not sure about that.

edit: I guess it excludes endorsements so that makes sense

I'd much rather wait for POS to do a David McWilliams and explain it to us non-economist types.

POSH you need to start thinking about your 10,000th post. It needs to be something bold, historical and witty. A real Kuan Yew Lee job. Most of all, you must rally the troops here. Too much anti POSH lately. You have a great opportunity though. My liver will explode long before my 10,000th. (perhaps mercifully.)

McWilliams has used all the good stereotypes. What will Paul use? "Forum user man"? "Shamboy"? "Bohs-denier"*?

*I do not know if Bohs is on the denier scale. I doubt pretty polly would use it. Can't imagine Bohs having many TVs.

If employing them as barmaids got round the salary cap, they'd pack the squad with them.
