However this will depend on how long the planning takes to go through and all the red tape that goes with it.
That would be great to see. NCW Rovers are a good club and deserve good facilities. They wouldnt be as many of their games postponed then.

I fully agree with you El Nino great to see NCW rovers being progressive and investing in a new pitch, They have come on in leaps and bounds in last few years and this will be another push in the right direction.

Does anybody know where the proposed new NCW Rovers pitch may be ? Its quite possible so ,barring relegation obviously, that there will be 3 new pitchs in the premier divison next season.Glin,Shannonside and NCW Rovers.Interesting.
I predict Glin to regroup and put a few points on the table and avoid relegation.

It's good to see rovers going forward and pushing for a new soccer field..played for them in youths and the junior team for years and they still have most of the same players and really nice fellas and good club..u heard the new location for the field is near the Irish primary school near the graveyard but that might not be true

Rovers new pitch will be up the Monagea road, in Killeline, directly opposite the Rugby grounds up there.

I think Rathkeale are playing NCW in the MJC next week.NCW are strong favourites for that.

Don't know about that Barry!!. It will be close , both teams not playing to full potential as of yet. Saying that your record is not the best. We just seem to have that edge over ye for last 5 or 6 years now..been a while since you have beat us...But I wouldn't be taking it for granted either..Its always a great game to be invloved in and very close...May the best teaam win!!..

two good players indeed, why is butler back? cronin and madigan are playing well this season i cant see them giving up their places too easily.

I have a general question regarding the size of the goals, does anyone have any info on the exact ruling of this?

as for NCW not being able to field a youth team, sounds weird!

The correct size of the goals SHOULD be 2.44 metres ( 8ft ) height and 7.32 metres ( 24ft) width.. Not always the case as they sink in many grounds which is a bit ****ty...Hope that helps you snafu.

Cheers, no just that one club in the league has a very talented yet relatively small goalkeeper, so they have two mounds of earth on each goal line they must be about a foot in height to prevent him being lobbed etc. these mounds of earth reduce the size of the goals nd so are they against the rules????

I wont mention any names as that might cause people to get upset, i just think it might be something for the league to look into.

It's definitely Abbeyfeale's pitch, must say it's an unusual "feature" they added during the summer (don't remember it being there last year)
...but maybe it's a good alternative to the normal mud pit on the goal line you see in alot of pitches!!

I suppose Doherty will come back now as well. Its amazing how the Limerick League adventure ended quickly for most of these players eg Butler, Lynch, Riordan, Beehan etc etc. Or maybe their true loyaly to their clubs persuaded them to come back, I doubt it though.
