Looks like it will be a short AGM on Monday, looking at the paper today they have most of the positions sorted before there is even a vote??
Do we know who are filling the positions?
it's all on the clare league website !!!!!!!!!!!!
but hear especially for you![]()
CDSL nominations for the AGM..................
Paul Tuohy is the favourite to become the next Chairman of the Clare District Soccer League after nominations closed on Friday night. The only other candidate in the running is current Vice-Chairman Donie Garrihy who is expected to contest the election for Vice-Chairman instead. Frank Healy and Paul Tuohy have also been nominated to contest the Vice-Chairman election. If Tuohy is elected Chairman there may be a contest between Healy and Garrihy for Vice-Chairman. Oliver Fitzpatrick, Michael Lydon & Michael McInerney have been nominated to continue their positions on the committee and all have indicated they will remain for another season if elected. There should be a good contest for Registrar between existing Registrar Frank Healy and Leo Murphy from Bridge Utd. Murphy has received a lot of nominations for the position so could run Healy close on the night. Oliver Fitzpatrick is not seeking re-election as PRO and Gerry Scanlon from Hermitage will be the next PRO if elected. There will be contests for the FAI & MFA delegate positions this year. Oliver Fitzpatrick, Donal Magee and Jim Madden have been nominated for the FAI delegate position while Donal Magee, Tomas Leahy and Jim Madden have been nominated for the MFA position. Its not clear yet if Madden will contest either or both of these positions. Madden has also been nominated for President. Finally Jason Ryan from Kilrush has been nominated for the Youth Liason Officer position.
Motions/Rule changes will be available here after committee meeting on Tuesday night.

Any transfer rumours lads, i hear bunratty will be losing quite a few players, is this true?
The size of the room was a joke and fair enough if that’s all they could get then they should have had bottled water for everyone present. Maddens son lost the rag a bit but he def had some valid points. All proposals should be mentioned and dismissed if invalid for whatever reason. The meeting dragged on too long people just wanted out of their after 11 bells. Maybe they should have the meeting at an earlier time.
Not the start Paul Tuohy was expecting.
As regards AGM would i be right in saying that the previous committee Chaired by Jim Madden sets the agenda's and motions for AGM, so think its their responsibilty to sort out Shannon Olympic motion. Good Luck to Mr Tuohy in his new role hopefully he has a good influence on the progression of the League. Any idea when its reset for ?
There are quiet a few ways that meeting could have been made easier/better. But I do think that young man had a very valid point. There is no transparency in the diciplinary procedure. And dicipline starts at the top table. i think that the people at the meeting were very patient in the most uncomfortable of circumstances. While people on the floor were trying to make a point there were people on the top table talking and not listening and at one stage one of them was engrosed in texting. I am glad there will be another meeting, it will give everyone more time to be prepared and give the New committee members a chance to get their ideas together for moving forward.
Don't know the lad all that well and perhaps inexperience led to a bit of waffle but there were several attemps made to hush him up and yet he had the balls to stick to his guns and get his point across, longwinded as it was. Last season jogged along fine really but the biggest issue, to me anyway was why some people were getting huge fines and bans for cursing and swearing and others "alledgedly" kicked someone in the face causing severe damage to him and his family and was rewarded by playing on the Oscars. That was not the only incident that was dealt with badly through the season but it really sickened a lot of people. And as Eoin said last transparency in decisions would cut out alot of that stuff. i don't agree with total disclosure as there will be privacy issues but as the old saying goes "what is good for the goose is good for the gander" and leaking out stuff made for bad feeling. it is good to see young fellas coming to meetings and the great circle of life certainly goes round some of them will sit on that committee some day and I don't suppose any of made a great speech when we started but you learn as you go along with the help of others.
