It's a strange one all right. Howe took him on despite having a wealth of options, which seemed to be an indication that he rated Duffy highly and he would slot straight into the team. After starting and playing Duffy for the full game against Ipswich he dropped him to the bench afterwards, making it look like it may have actually been a glorified trial.Quote:

I think he meant medium-term, i.e. a year-long loan next season. Duffy's rated very highly at Everton - captain of the reserves since he was 18.
Moyes rates Duffy highly, as does Alan Stubbs, along with a few other high profile managers. Prior to his injury, Moyes allegedly turned down an offer from another Premiership club for Duffy, so taking that into account, I very much doubt that Moyes will be keen to let him go, but you never know.
Just wondering how much the life-threatening injury has affected his game.
It could only have. However he's being given the opportunity to get back to his best.
He's not in the squad for the United game tomorrow so looks like he'll have to wait til August to get another taste of first team action
