If you're in the penalty area and don't know what to do with the ball, put it in the net and we'll discuss the options later

I've seen that programme a few times, the part where Gillian Mc Keith examines the person's s*ite is gross. And what makes it worse is that she seems to get great enjoyment in telling them "That's a miserable little poo for a person of your size and dietary habits- you should have a bigger one than that "

Yup (although it gets very formulaic after a while), but she has a point, and one which answers DeLorean's post.

In Soap Operas they never use a doorbell - they pound on the doors. Must be a good opening in Weatherfield for a doorbell company (or maybe not if they never use them).
Forget about the performance or entertainment. It's only the result that matters.

                        Hey - she gets results.

You don't really need a doctorate to work out that not eating crap all the time makes you healthier.

(I haven't read her books, mind)

Fair enough, but call it what it is, common sense., and don't try and peddle it as science

Agree but pales into insignificance compared to the spawn of satan who roar out "Alice, Alice, who the *** is Alice ?" and "Rise up your skirts" in the middle of Wild Rover. Die now.
