Yeah, I know. I had a look through some of the other candidates last night, and I only found one person over 30 (coincidentally my 30th is the first day of the walk). Dunno if it'll count against me or not. Given MTV's target audience, it's probably not too surprising.
I only heard of the competition because it got a mention on phantom fm, of all places. Honestly couldn't tell you the last time I watched MTV, although I have Q or Kerrang tv on the in the background sometimes. My housemate's sister stayed with us last week, and she was stuck to the Hills. First time I ever watched more than 5 minutes of it.

I think the only music channel which was remotely of any use at all was "The Amp" - and thats been off air for years now.
They played a lot of Doves, early Kings of Leon, The Strokes, Stone Roses etc.
