So it feels like the US has one another u-turn on Ukraine with this current proposal. Not even bothering to use terms like working document. Everyone has been scrambling to have a say on what are conditions of surrender for Ukraine. While Im not one of those dying on front lines I dont really uderstand why an opportunity is not taken to push the Putin regime to economic collape which is pretty much inevitable, it will test China's willingnes to intervene, take their pound of flesh then also. The kicker of recent days is the supposed appearance of senior Russian military officers in Venezuela. Surely something that can be pointed out to the Don. How can Russia have such a laugh at his expense without him seeing it.....surely his ego is bigger than a Nobel prize attempt. Going full tilt at the Russians would do more to distract at home than humiliating Ukraine, or blowing up fishermen in the Carribean.

Trump wants to be the name that ends the war ,how he does it or how it ends is irrelevant to him,he doesn’t care,a ceasefire will never last the same as the Gaza one were Israel is killing as it sees fit, unfortunately for Zelensky a perfect storm developed, weakness at home due to a huge corruption scandal and poor performance on the battlefield due to exhaustion and a lot of incompetence in the higher up command of the Ukrainian military ,make no mistake Russia and it’s army are not in good shape and its economy is in trouble it’s just Ukraine is far worse off and with less reliable allies than Russia…..

I was never a South Park fan except on an ocasion that it was funny, but the recent stuff on Hegseth and the wider Administration is sadly very funny, sadly because it hits the bullseye with it satire. Worth watching, not a lol stuff but getting the message out there and bound to bug MAGA.

Cannot even begin to understand the mindset behind that to be honest.

I know it shouldn't be at all surprising, but with all the outrage over Charlie Kirk and people losing jobs over comments etc. it's pretty remarkable that he has no issue coming out with statements like that. Hard to believe that's the world we live in sometimes. Had just watched the Rob Reiner South Park episode the other day too. Actually re-watching South Park is a really interesting reflection on just how toxic US politics has become. The early South Parks it feels like there's plenty of common enemies, Iraq is the big baddy, it pokes fun at all sides and often finds a sort of hopeful middle ground. The recent episodes, the hopeful middle ground seems to be pretty much obliterated. The change of Jesus into MAGA Jesus is not subtle but it does say a lot. They tried to find a bit of hope in the last episode but I think they know the end is coming for them too.

My take on that was Jesus had to change to MAGA because nobody was listening to him, but now all he's preaching is MAGA rhetoric. Kind of like how some politicians in the party have had to abandon any policies that might been seen as left/centrist/woke to stay in the president's good graces.

I'm no Biden supporter , he definitely should of took a much firmer line speaking out against Israel's action in Gaza. Countless other areas too where I disagree with his admin. But I don't think you can compare his admin to Trump especially Trump's 2nd term

I meant he had nobody to tell him it was time to quit a long time before he actually did,his close colleagues and advisors liked being in their positions too much,I'm not comparing his Administration.

                                And now Venezuela.

Maduro is certainly no loss, but this blatantly illegal deposal is mental. And the lack of criticism from other leaders, while not suprising, is still pathetic.
