Christ that is a sad state of affairs, more for the players in that league than anything, how do you stay motivated unless you have a cup run.

Fellas need to relax on here about teams having no fixtures, There's FAI 1st rounds on this week, only a certain amount of refs available do the math. There's MJC and FAI 1st/2nd rounds next few weeks some teams won't play a league game again till October i suppose that'll be a big coincidence hahaComment

Genuine Question what is your solution? I see Premier A has 7 teams in it and there is 4 active teams in Div 1. You could add to that.. but also Div 2 has already got 9 teams so they have 16 games just don't know where you could put these teams. All jokes a side hard to blame AUL for everything, they started games earlier to take loads of games off end of the season and now this happened..Here's one for ye lads. Apparently Banteer, Rathcoole & Richmond are going (if not gone). By the AUL rules that would give everyone 18 points and an extra 6 games played. That means Hibs will be on 30 points after 10 games. They'd have only 4 games left and would be 8 points clear at the top. An absolute joke. 2 wins and the league is over by Halloween. Haha if only someone with half a brain on the committee rejigged the leagues this sh*t wouldn't be happening.Comment

Are Banteer gone also?
I would doubt Rathcoole are gone they have fixtures the next two weeksComment

Division 3 needs to go in the short term at least.Genuine Question what is your solution? I see Premier A has 7 teams in it and there is 4 active teams in Div 1. You push teams up from there.
The other alternative is scrap premier A.
The top teams move up the weaker teams go down.
Let the Henry Healy be played for by teams knocked out in the opening round of the AOH CupComment

There was no need for 3rd division complete joke in fairness should of being 4th division simple as along with Hibs knocka will have league done next few weeks to 6 teams behind um beating each other 7 teams in a division is laughable id say Coachford will be miles ahead cone Xmas to unless Grattan can hang on to draw it out.Comment

Leagues should never have been this small. What were they thinking? It must have been wanting to hold the 5 divisions which I understand but the practicalities suggested 4 Divisions.Comment

I can see what ye mean lads but a lot of those teams in Div 3 would be well beaten weekly by any of the teams in the Division above them. I can see the issues but of the 11 teams in Div 3 I’d say based off league form 3 could hold their own in any league above it at best. The Henry Healy suggestion to be fair is very good if you got rid of Prem AComment

I’m my view on the balance of levels ideally you need the 5 division.
Pushing up the weakest teams in the AUL really is no good to no one.
In saying that pushing up some of the premier A teams to premier wouldn’t make much sense either.
What ever division you pushed up and just say division 3 was pushed into division 2.
You could possibly look at splitting the division in 2 after the 1st round of games and call the lower ranked teams division 2a ave they compete for their own title.
You could alternatively do this with the premier.
But I think division 2 makes more sense.
Just an idea.Comment

Where are Banteer and Rathcoole going exactly? They are both down for fixtures this month. I would say Richmond are gone alright. 12 game is not ideal but it is the same in Premier A and it is still better than paying a 3 round league in my opinion.Comment

Couple of teams gone in summer, some going now, possible that one or two struggle next summer. I get the idea of upholding the importance of promotions and relegation but I think next summer needs a reset and a change to four divisions with the AUL assigning the teams to which they feel is best. 12 or even 14 league games is far too few.Comment
