Grattan werr down to play coachford this afternoon down in the glebe. Grattan rang the aul yesterday to say if the glebe isnt playable today that grattan pitch is available. Coachford rang the referee this saying pitch is unplayable the referee rang tom fitzgerald of aul to say pitch is unplayable and his words were exactly there is a few games around the northside after been called off over the weather so id presume grattan pitch is unplayable aswell, so grattan got no opportunity to take the home game even though was walked at 9am this morning and it was playable. So as an organisation they didnt follow there own protocol if home team pitch is unplayable the away team are contacted to see if there pitch is playable but grattan didnt even get that opportunity, so as an organisation serring rules thats they expect every team in league to follow and they cant even follow them themselves, so if if your someone on the outside looking in at this situation CORRUPTION comes to mind its happening for years with cork aul and coachford the darling club of cork aul that cant do any wrong absolutely scandalous behaviour from our organisation that we represent week in and week out and pay our entry fees every year and not treated fairly its a disgrace.

Correct me please if I'm wrong but last season the only way a game was called of was if the referee inspected the pitch.
Must of been a lot of fuzzy heads this morning after last nites ? party.Comment

All teams should be treated equally.
Coachford and Grattan should have taken place by all accounts with a pitch available and its the same **** as every other season with games being pulled when it doesnt suit a team. What's stopping the next team doing it? And the next? Week 1!!!
Coachford have caused enough problems with Mossie Linane and Inter League Competition this year, 2 ruined competiitions.
The college should be playing now too as you said.Comment

I’m off the understanding and always was the case if a pitch for a league game is unplayable the game is off by rule.
However last year video footage was required to show the pitch was unplayable.
Secondly if a pitch was soft after the huge amounts of rain the fell yesterday any club would be foolish to play a game on it.
It would cut up and be in a poor condition after game 1 what chance would it have in DecemberComment

Well by rule is not inspection from ref!! I alway remember if a game was being called the ref will still have to check y should it change today for coachford what make ya think it wad soft grattans pitch was perfect and to my knowledge coachford have better grounds grattan is bog as is!! by right ref and both teams should be down coachford with full teams on refs book is that not the rule anyway I thought it was but maybe the couldn't field a teamI’m off the understanding and always was the case if a pitch for a league game is unplayable the game is off by rule.
