Yeah seriously. It's really annoying when the UCD section appears as having new posts in it when it's only this bloody thread.Check out my new sports blog http://www.action81.comComment

Quality brace from Podge tonight to lift us into the top half...still depressed? I think this is going to be a good season!Originally posted by CollegeTillIDiepineapple stu
Most of our strikers couldn't hit a cow's arse with a banjo and you wonder why I am gloomy about our prospects ?
Oh, the irony of decrying the stats thread by posting a stat in it!!!Originally posted by John83This post is the 154th in this thread. You've posted 105 of them Declan/
I actually think this is an interesting thread. If only we could get a LSC and First Division Shield record...?Comment

Only noticed this now - didn't we compete in the 1922 FAI Cup as well? First Round defeat to Shamrock Rovers, I think?Originally posted by CollegeTillIDieComplete FAI Cup Record 1934 To DateComment

Yes but we were both Non-League so it was so far in the Preliminaries as not to be consistent with the latter stages which the first qualification in the 1930's was when we drew a League side. By the way Rovers beat us 6-2 according to The Hoops by Robert Goggins and Paul Doolan ( no not that one!)Originally posted by pineapple stuOnly noticed this now - didn't we compete in the 1922 FAI Cup as well? So it wasn't in the First Round proper then? Was it akin to the First Round nowadays, or more like the First Qualifying Round in the FA Cup?Comment
-
Yes something along those lines the game took place as I understand it in late November 1921. The League clubs didn't enter the Cup until January 1922.Originally posted by pineapple stuSo it wasn't in the First Round proper then? Patrick Kavanagh joined UCD from Wayside. Made his Under 21 debut on Saturday and scored against St.Pat's. Made his first team debut against Waterford United and scored. 2 goals in 2 games makes him one of the fastest scoring debutants.Comment

No hassle if you can't. Apologies if its in the thread and I'm too lazy to search54,321 sold - wws will never die - ***
