Well, he would hardly confirm it, would he? There may be a gentleman's agreement in place already.
If we survive, I really can't see Cook being here next season. He'll do well at Shams with the young players they have. I'd fully expect them to break the top 4 with Cook at the helm.

Jesus, thats a hammer blow for Cork and their finances. They'd have been guaranteed a great gate for the final, and possible prize money too. What was the attendance like in Cork? I presume pretty big, as most fans would realise they need every penny?

Has to be the greatest shock in the LOI ever?
Thats disappointing. It'd be more than we'd get for a similar tie but a drop from 4,000 on Friday to 1,500 on Monday is shocking. Doesn't look good in front of examiner either

thats a shock result.. delighted for the youths.. very impressed with them when i was in ferrycarrig park earlier in the season... am I correct in stating that wexford youths are the first time a first division side have got to the league cup final since limerick fc beat derry city in 2001 -02 season on penos..
it will be great to see the youths on the telly and great to see them take off their shoes off in salute to their chant... :)

Hopefully, but they will go for the greater capacity I'd say. Soccer/Football has been given a shot in the arm in Wexford after tonight.
With the counties footballers playing Tyrone this weekend that result tonight will give them a huge boost too.

I've got a head cold and I've been hitting the nuerofen cold and flu, it makes my head a bit funny, seriously am I imagining things?
I know it's only the league cup and all that but bloody hell what an achievement. Hopefully they can host the final at home or at worst at a nice handy Dublin venue. No excuses for not making this game.

Well, it's *supposed* to be the toss of a coin - a toss Derry always seem to win.

will the venue not be decided on the flip of a coin or some such? between the brandywell and ferrycarrig?

The match venue will be decided by a toss of coin, either the Brandywell or Ferrycarraig but better for the FAI both finanical and tv audience wise to have up in Derry. Will be on TG4 or Setanta won't it?

Fair enough. Would Ferrycarrig be really suitable? The game will be live on television so a number of camera positions would be required, plus with only one stand it wouldn't look to great, always the chance to add another temporary stand for the occasion I suppose.

Ye true, it would be great exposure so that the whole of Island of Ireland can see our fantastic facilities. It is truely a fantastic venue for Eircom League standards as some clubs have seen when they came too play.

Fantastic result for Youths tonight. Well done.
Would yez move it to Waterford, perhaps (if you get home advantage)? Surely that'd be easier for the locals instead of trekking up to Dublin.

If wexford get a home draw, then play it in wexford. F**k the barstoolers. Would be madness to give up home advantage for a cup final, especially when its their first one.
Ferrycarrig is a fine venue & won't affect the home suppport, its not like the club need the money by switching it to a nuetral venue.

How is it disgraceful. The away support sit in the stands most of the time. The worst I seen is Dundalk and Shels. Drunken mess they were.
