they didnt train thursday but played friday no wonder pike are losing players.
where and what time for the friendly sunday kerley obviously forgot to text me....
They did train thursday. How can you say they didnt when they did? see's it you always state things as fact when you are just making stuff up.
You crack me up, Mullins has already represented Ireland underage and is probably known as one of the best talents about. O'Shea I doubt you've even heard of,so I'll leave your ignorance slide,is another decent talent. Brazer has played in the successful U-20 Limerick37 teams.
Possibly more to follow,Connie was absent tonight..
Wall also is expected to resign.
ya agree there, gavin o shea could be a great signing, very good

Such as?The McGarry thing is up in the air, you've not heard any Balla supporters coming on here telling you he's signed have you? No need to stir it up for the sake of it. Pike had 14 training Thursday night. Not including Mullins/Brazier. Connie's managed to keep the vast majority of last years squad as has made so far 3 decent signings.
Pike "A" playing Limerick37 Sunday BTW.
wasnt talkin about mcgarry hoop and what have balla to do with what i said, and i no that pike are playin no need for the reminder:D

I would have to say morris is better than kelliher at PRESENT..Not going on past performance...So i think he would start ahead of him..But who is to say the view dont go with an untraditional 4-3-3 :D

he might get a fair crack at the whip up at the view though, id say thats all the man wants. he clearly wasnt getting that with pike by the looks of it.

he could be used in midfield or just behind the front two...........im sure JP will accomodate him........and im sure he wont be asking him to play left full either...

Yeah and he is probably even good enough to play on the wings or center mid...He's a good bloke to get a goal...

In fairness he had a pretty decent first season with Pike. The leg injury(I think it was?) didn't help matters after that.

finucane signed with pike
So why was he training with Limerick the past few weeks?
Anyone agree Fairview have a very strong squad so far this season. Great signings in Heffernen etc..

Possibly because Pike haven't been back training much yet? And the fact that it probably feels normal training above in the Pike field anyway..
And the Fairview signings if confirmed from above are so so. Heffernan would be the only real standout signing for me.

pike won 4-1
their team was,

E O'Donovan - LB
P Purcell - CH
C Enright - CH
J Corbett - RM
J Boyle - CM
D O'Grady - CM
E Brazier - LM
Nabs - CF
Alan Barry - CF
Barry and nabs gave the limerick defence a torrid time. Barry got 1 from the spot, nabs got 2, and purcell 1.

Sorry now but i disagree!Unless Nabs is back to the player he was a few years ago then maybe but it would be hard to back away from an Alan Barry and Pat Moloney partnership.Whatever negativity is said about Pat Moloney there is no doubting his ability and has been a league winner for the last 3 years. As stated already,Alan Barry will be a massive loss for the 'Boro'.

Wasnt that Abbeys strike force a few years back?
They have fallen a bit since then.
It would be a really strong front 2 for Pike If both were to sign.

they got alot of goals for the boro that season also.will be interesting to see how young clarke does for the boro this season.i reckon he would make a great partnership with alan barry.i could see them getting a bag of goals if they played together.id take clarke ahead of moloney anyday.better all round player.

clarke prob 99% gonna sign with boro. not a done deal yet tho. heard he was up with wembley the other night.
suppose like always never know until the form is signed.

tje view have put a great squad together on PAPER ,how many players have actually come back from eircom league and really made a difference to teams, keith harnett is 1and maybe brendan hughes for me the jury is still out on the rest of them

Colm Heffernan will be super-probably be the best player in town - all the players that came back played with limerick, this guy held his own in Division 1 league of Ireland, big difference there.I do however echoe your sentiments on the Ex league of Ireland players, they never seem to make a massive impact when they come back, maybe due to lack of hunger and on this aspect i would as a Fairview man be slightly worried that there will be quite a few Ex league of Ireland players in the team.

Ya agreed. Maybe after playing at that level it might be hard to play and motivate yourself etc... But with a midfield of Rossi and Heffernen and Kelleher upfront I think they have the best squad in town for the upcoming season but class will always shine through. Heffernen is def still League of Ireland standard. He did well with Athlone last season. Was hoping he would sign back with Limerick. He prob has bad memories of the last time :ball:

would agree with you there.had a big reputation when he left limerick fc.was actually one of there more consistant players when there. has been lacking in fitness though since he went back to junior football and seems to be very in and out of the fairview set up when there.always seems to be missing every 2nd or 3rd game.never saw him starting consistently over a season
