This Amos guy looks exciting, but he does say whoever calls first??

With regards Ephraim, hes played for England from 16's to 19's, even scored 4 goals in a game for the 17's against Russia in 2004- http://www.thefa.com/England/U17s/Postings/2004/09/EngU17_vRussiaU17_Report.htm

Geysir, I'll actually be in Reykjavik visiting our mutual friend from 6th to 8th May. You around for a beer?

I better start saving up then :) or maybe you are buying? We can usually fool an unsuspecting newcomer for one night.

He's hardly been scoring alot of goals. Getting a regular game though so he must be doing something right.

Pity he cannot come through.

Also, that Tommy Amos guy was let go by Wigan

Amos is also Rooney's cousin. He got a few call ups to the underage squads but dissapeared just as quick. Early reports had him as a new Wayne Rooney.

Drafted 25th overall by Henry's club, New York.

Also another Irish guy (born in Dublin) could be drafted:

EDIT: I see it was posted in the Irish Abroad thread. Still notable.

Looking forward to see how Rooney does at the Red Bulls.

Beattie wasn't picked, he might go in the Supplemental Draft which I think is next week.

Came on in the 89th minute yesterday for his MLS debut against San Jose when NY were 3-0 up.

As fans of the WAG will know, Coleen's maiden name was McLoughlin with her parents Tony and Colette having Irish heritage.

Cos the name Rooney screams Anglo-Saxon.
