Clew Bay 5 Snugboro B 2. Good second half display from Clew Bay, went in at half time 2-1 down. Wind played a big part aswell. Clew Bay lost a player for the rest of the season with a dislocated knee cap and tore ligaments as a result of a wreckless challenge from a boro player and he got away with it

it was the other knee that he injured before. anyways i dont think a dislocated knee cap and tore ligaments is a sign of a recurrance of an old injury do you? the guy has stud marks on his knee, any player tackling an other player on the knee shouldn't be playing

I think Ballina will win it by the odd goal, they beat us 3 0 in the cup and having played Snugboro in a friendly i think they will have too much firepower. They have one centre forward who played Senior league for Ballina Town years ago, he is different class for division two and very hard to stop. Best of luck to boro.:ball:

i disagree about ballina, their a one trick pony relying totally on their centre forward. man mark him and they dont have much, very slow at the back and snugboro have quick strikers that can score. we should have beaten ballina in semi still dont know how we didnt score.

There are updated tables on the Snugboro FC website. Not sure of the address but if you look back through the mold posts on this thread you'll find a link. Try posts from Joe Denilson.

Yeah, it looks like Mulranny, Cross and Glenisland are pulling away in 2B. Town started well but have slipped up a bit lately. A lot of injuries coming at a time when they're catching up on called off games has'nt helped.

I saw a bit of your game V Claremorris and didn't recognise half of the team. You seemed to be missing a few, including your striker who's an excellent player.

Disappointing to see Ballyvarys position in the league, whats the storey with then This year? Ballyboy i presume you can answer that? Its dissapointing to see them just freefalling through the divisons in recent years, they've got super facilities. Any hope for the future? is there a young team there?

Great game - We was crap in the first half but some tweaky of the team just before half time did the business - Bet Cross are doing a rain dance down in south mayo :D

Glenisland are keeping the pressure on though ;)

Was at the Cross - Claremorris game. Good game Claremorris by far the better team in 1st half. Cross however played some very good direct football in the 2nd half with the big striker showing a very good touch as well as some Rooneyesque type running. Also player manager when he came on made a big difference. The match proved that in rough conditions and when you have a good target man the direct approach is the best one. Claremorris had an excellent young lad on the left wing (red head) as well as a good right full back. Cross need to widen their play for future games. They were missing a few defenders.

any reports on this weekend games? clew bay beat ballyheane b 4-1 away tonight. well deserved, 3-1 up at half time, should have been way more up but failed to finish. poor ref in fairness to both sides but have to say ballyheane were more interested in arguing with the ref than playing the game, they constantly moaned at the ref right from the kick off and i mean constantly. they werent like that when we played them before and to be honest it didnt help there performance tonight

Very young squad, 6 - 7 are U18 and another couple U 25. We are playing reasonably well, not getting badly beaten and should have pulled better results from a number of the games. We have been competitive in most games with the exception of Ballina and Conn Rangers games.

We still need a couple of experienced players in key positions. If we can keep the young players together for a couple of seasons we should make progress. But it is disappointing to be positioned where we are.

Cloggs, i urge you to take another look at the 2b table, Cross look favourites but there i a lot of football to be played. We ( The Town ) are in joint fourth with 7 games left to play and a game in hand, thats 21 points left. If Cross sneak the league there are five other teams going for second place, it is a very competitve league and any of the teams that go on a long winning run will be there or there abouts. Now predict the first and second place if you dare!

Sure enough Footie ye're in with a chance but the results would want to improve. Ye can't afford to drop too many more points from now on in and getting good results against the teams above ye will be tough. Still hopefully with a bit of luck ye can make it into that play off place!
How're things on the injury front?
Anyway good luck with the run in, hope ye do it!
