I know The Boss doesn't like these short of odds but put them in an accumulator and it works out at evens:
Japan to beat Thailand = 1/7
South Korea to beat Turmenistan = 1/7
Iran to beat Syria = 2/7
Argentina to beat Guatemala = 1/5
Touch wood it's a sure thing;)
TheBoss

That looks a decent bet, I would expect that to win in fairness.
Argentina's squad in similar to that of Brazil, mostly younger players but it still is a real strong team.

Well, it seems no one can get it right, Iran drew 0-0

I can see Villa winning, but I have a feeling that Reading will draw with Everton cause of UEFA Cup next week.

Valenciennes v Lorient -> Valenciennes @ 11/10
I know they've the 2nd best home record in the league but they've lost their last 4 matches. Whereas Lorient have only 2 defeats in 14 now.
It looks like a low scoring draw to me.
I've backed the draw in Monaco v Lille @ 9/4. Lille have drawn 3 of their last 4 and in 4 of Monaco's last 5 games there has only been 1 goal so the game is going to be very tight.
Looking at the Irish Cup this weekend I think Ballyclare Comrades could definitely beat Institute at home. 2/1 seems a decent price, maybe will get better when more bookies go up.
With all the tips we're bound to get some winners between us!
At least there's some action on this forum now.
Would anyone be interested in setting up a tipping competition?

Valenciennes are always tough at Home regardless of form, They usually perform at a high level at Home and I expect a 2-0 comfortable win.

TheBoss

Not too great either, I see Horse Racing as a bit of a mugs game really, it is almost impossible to make money over a long period of time.
But if I was held at Gun point, I would choose Snowy Morning.

I am thinking about that myself but will wait closer till KO. I fancy A. Madrid to reach the final alright. I don't fancy Villareal as it's always difficult to get a result in Russia and at this time of year the weather could have a big influence on the game.
Bayern away to Aberdeen @ 1/2 looks nice to me. Bayern have been stuttering a few times this season but I reckon they'll see off a very average Scottish side who have conceded 9 goals in their last two outings.

Handicap bet on PSV against Helsingborg is what I'm looking at for the Uefa Cup.
Helsingborg are out of season, the Swedish league doesn't start until April and PSV are going strong in their league. PSV should be capable of winning by more than 1 goal at home.

Everton at 8/11 away to Braan in the uefa cup looks a decent price. Toffees are in fantastic form at the moment, Braan havent played a competitive game since December.

Zenit are a super team, but they have had no serious game since november ish, I expect a Villareal for that reason, It will be either a draw or an away win, I am sure of that.

hi guys, i might as well wade in with a few "tips"!!!!
I think QPR are 10/11 to beat Burnley. On form and playing well since the millionaires took over
Wycombe 13/10 to beat Bury away. Bury are rubbish and Wycombe are midtable and have a small bit of form behind them
and maybe a small bet on Forest at 2/1 to beat Leeds:)

Also do a seperate bet ( dont doubel it up ) for Lesscott to score first not sure of the odds but he is normally between 20/1 to 30/1.
With no Artetta or Pienaar on the wings they could struggle to make a break through He will be playing at left back so will be getting foward a lot more than when he plays at CB.
Ill be putting a fiver each way on him anyway maybe a tenner.
YAkubu is back in tonight aswell has to be worth a pop.

Preston v Portsmouth (sun) Draw 9/4 (widely available.)
Preston are steadily improving under Alan Irvine after a shaky start. Pompey sell the player who has scored 33% of thier league goals this year and replace him with a cup-tied player. They will persist with a lone stiker either Baros or Kanu and will be happy enough to get Preston back to Fraton.

Celtic V Hearts, S Mcdonald to score first goal at 7/2 isnt a bad bet, can do it eachway to make it safe, hell he is bound to score
Charlton to beat watford at 11/8 might be worth a punt. Watford are very defensive and wont score much or anything at all

Brave bet on Murphy there. We know Ronnie often gets himself to beat up at times, but it is always risky to bet against him.

isn't every bet a risk!!
I was just thinking would it be an idea to have a small league, maybe everybody gets 5tips a week at odds no shorter than evens and see who does the best? Just for the craic like? Or is that just a stupid idea?
TheBoss

I know yeah, ronnie was in the zone at the wrong time for me. I don't know why i bother backing against him cos im always still up for him, he is a genius just extremely erratic.
Ya thats a good idea. You could give a bash(as in organising it) seeing as you are the boss?! would there be many interested though?

Yeah sounds like a good idea.
I've backed Ronnie for the final tomorrow at 8/13.
He played really well tonight but Selby's match could really have gone either way, he made some decent breaks but threw in a lot of errors.
I also like the look of Marseille tomorrow @ 11/10 they're in great form, though PSG have only conceded 1 goal in their last 6.
I'll look closer at it tomorrow though...

Selby was 6/1 during the second last frame, i was gonna bet on him but my sister was on the phone! You can tell by the look of ronnie when he is going to lose.
