Because Sporting Fingal were reffered to as SF they have signed Steve Williams and a link to where it says they have signed him was asked for, Réiteoir was merely having a laugh...Maybe you should try reading the thread before replying??

Bingo

Why call someone "retard"?

That's more offensive to me personally

Your missing the point! It was meant as a joke! SF= Sporting Fingal, SF= Seinn Fein, IF you cant see the joke there then you are seriously too uptight. And calling him a retard over it was completley OTT.

Its not as if he was giving the link saying "support Sinn Fein" like..

Look at the post, was anything added other than the link to that 'organisation'.

Sorry if I don't see if there is an underlying joke but I hate those scum more than Man U. If I'm being over sensitive, I apologise.
C'mon Sporting Fingal and welcome to the league

Williams set for Fingal

January 20, 2008

Multiple eircom League of Ireland title winner Steve Williams will play for new entity Sporting Fingal in 2008 following the north Dubliners’ invitation into the senior grade.

Sporting, to be managed by ex-Shamrock Rovers and St Patrick’s Athletic boss Liam Buckley, will replace the ill-fated Kilkenny City in the First Division this year.

And Williams will be a high-profile member of Buckley’s side, according to weekend media reports.

The 33-year-old Welshman has spent the past ten years in the League of Ireland, winning five championships for Shelbourne between 1999 and 2006.

He spent last season with Bray Wanderers but will be on the move once more for 2008.

Does anybody know what day of the week SF will be playing because as far as I'm aware the floodlights in Morton Stadium are not up to ELOI standard.
Their fixtures are down for Fridays at 7.45 pm. That's provisional, though, if they want to play on another day they haven't informed the eL. Would have thought Sunday afternoons would suit them better.

With the established dublin clubs all playing on friday nights also I thought it would make sense for sporting to play on saturdays or sundays - Im pretty sure they would get a good few fans of other clubs going along to watch

Oldyouth I see you are still doing your best to get banned from anfearrua. I wonder how long I would last on this site if all I did was sneer at other posters and have a go at soccer. Not long methinks. Still though, keep up the crusade. No doubt when you finally do get your marching orders you'll let everyone know about the bigotry you experienced. Sure most of us GAA lads are closet sinn feiners anyway.

Hi Jinxy, I only dropped in there by accident. I was searching for info about Sporting Fingal and thats where I ended up. I thought I'd deposit a little comment and do a runner (rock hard, me). Lo and behold, I found that the whole site is just an ego trip for their administrator. If you say anything against the grain, you get deleted or literally told to plss off. One contributor said he was delighted Rovers won their battle over the stadium and I responded that perhaps the Thomas Davies chairman would perform the opening ceremony of the new ground.

Next thing I know, the post is deleted on the grounds that it was 'defamatory, pornographic and intrusive in to players lives'. Immediately other contributors are going at eachother for fun 'cos the same thing happened to them. I couldn't leave after that.

Lads, its well worth a look. www.anfearrua.com,

What you are doing is simply the cyber equivalent of ringing someones doorbell and hiding behind a hedge to see how they react. Posts and indeed entire threads are deleted regularly on anfearrua (as they are here too I'm sure) if the admin/mods deem it necessary to do so. If the boss over there thinks that what you said breaches the forum rules he is perfectly entitled to act. I don't see why he should take a bullet for someone like you that he doesn't even know (and is purely there on a wind-up in the first place).

Does the 'youth' in the your moniker stem from your Wexford allegience or the fact that you have the mental development of a 10 year old?

Yeah there was! I don't know if it was genuine though or just a figment of an Irish Independent graphics artist overactive imagination. It was yellow and black.... and had a bird whizzing by in it... (Why does it I sound like I'm making this up?!) It was in a sheild shape aswell and it said... wait for it... Sporting Fingal FC at the top. Very basic crest if it was official. And Yellow and Black? Reminiscent of a recently deceased club perhaps?!
