Met him in NY last summer and he said he was trying to get out of there and hopefully would join his brother at Ipswich. So there was probably talks going on for a while

Two for Noel.

Grasping the nettle after McGoldrick was ruled out.

First assisted by his brother, Stephen. There's kind of a double-edged incentive for Noel to do well for the rest of the season (and Stephen for that matter). He earned a contract till the end of this season- a season which may see them get promoted. So, he's playing for a further contract which could potentially be with a Premiership side.

Daryl Murphy & Noel Hunt both praising Terry Connor for their upswing in goalscoring form. It would be great if he was working with our national team strikers. Hopefully McCarthy brings Terry with him if he does manage Ireland again.

And he has put his resurgence in form down to his work with Ipswich assistant manager Terry Connor.

"'TC' and I have been working a lot on my finishing," he said. "We had a good chat on Friday about goals. It's nice to give something back."

Noel Hunt was the guest on Balls.ie's Football Show this week. Audio here: https://www.balls.ie/football/noel-hunt-2-362599

Noel Hunt was the guest on this week's edition of the Football Show, and in a lengthy interview, he touched on a vast number of topics, including his disillusion with the end of his international career after a fall-out over his claiming the equaliser in Bari, Phil Brown not keeping his eye on the ball at Southend, what makes a good football agent, and how Didier Drogba is to blame for his missing out on a move to Chicago.

He is clown. RTE did a slow-mo of that goal and it was clearly Robbies with no contact made on the ball by Hunt

He is clown.

He is clown, He is clown
He tried to steal Robbie's goal
And he is clown
Every knee shall bow
Every word confess
That Robbie Keane is Lord

Nobody comes out of this looking good.

Sounds like a John Grisham page turner.
