Why have the Football League taken the goal off numerous links on YouTube though?

They put the "Goal" up for auction on ebay...and it was bought by Robbie Keane!;)

Very good! :) A bit off topic but surely YouTube must have sh!tloads of copyright infringements with music videos, leaked songs, watching football and the likes.

Undoubtedly. Clips from films, songs etc are all subject to copyright as is just about everything that isn't home made on Youtube.

Please God they don't make much out of it. I hear they're looking for 30 million. Not a hope. Why is Julie Andrews in the cartoon and Tevez looks like a young John Hume.

That cartoon was from the time SU got relegated.
Didn't Sean Bean come out in public and parody Warnock for being a self publicist that being in the EPL was all about him and not Sheffield U?
That Warnock was out of his depth in the EPL?
I presumed that was Mary Poppins - (practically perfect in every way) but with an exaggerated turn up nose - warnock waiting at the bus stop, maybe not

I think that is supposed to be Eggert Magnusson the "good looking" ex-owner of West Ham

There seems to be some truth in the Bean vs. Warnock story. Hadn't heard it before:

As for the grinning martian, the face looks so familair but can't place it.

When I heard Mick's comments before the game against Reading that Wolves "were due a kick up the backside" I suspected they'd lose. It was if he was expecting to lose the game because they were due to lose a game.

I also saw Doyle being interviewed about a possible transfer away in January and he certainly didn't deny his interest in such a move.

Wednesday in the play off positions - is that a pig flying past the window?

No, a good win over "high flying" Preston and up to the dizzy heights of 19th, just 4 points behind the Owls. If the latter's home form cracks, they'll be in big trouble as they're very fragile away from home.

I see Preston have signed Blackburn Rovers' Republic of Ireland defender Eddie Nolan on loan until January.

Which means come January he'll be playing for some other team!:(

Jebus, cheers for the heads up on The Wool Shed, I didn't know it existed and after having no success in a few pubs around the westmoreland street area, we headed up there. Got in just in time for kick-off. There was a Sheffield lad (from the wrong side of the divide :D) sat in front of us- he was in agony for the whole thing - it was almost difficult to witness!

Good result though - and packed with incidents. The sending off was a bit harsh I thought.
Overall I thought we played well and were worth the three points. And what a three points too - started the day in 15th place and finished in 5th :)
Just need to sort out that away form now. :o

I thought Kilgallon's sending off was harsh alright, it was a bad tackle and warranted a yellow and a dressing down from the ref alright, but a straight red was harsh. That said I think Speed should have walked for a second yellow over the penalty incident. Blatant trip inside the box that should have earned him that red I feel. Johnson was foolish at kicking the bottle, I can understand his frustration at getting taken off but that could have smacked someone in the crowd, bizarre getting a player sent off and having 11 players left on the field though.

I genuinely thought they were going to equalise though, we missed about 3 gilt edged chances (penalty included)to finish it, and normally that comes back to sting you in the end. Still though 5th place and bragging rights will do us nicely :)

I may be repeating what someone else has already said here but, does anyone else yearn for the great clubs of yesteryear to return to the topflight? I miss the Q.P.R's, the Nottingham Forest's, the Sheffield Wednesday's, Coventry, Luton Town, even Ipswich and Norwich for pete's sake. I grew up with these teams playing United and Liverpool and not Hull, West Brom or bloody Wigan. Damn I wish it were 1987....

Alan Curbishley will be the next to go I suspect.

Totally unfair and a crazy decision:confused:.......Aidy had to sell all our best players and was told one or two more (Mcanuff, Demerit,Tommy Smith,JJ O'Toole) would be sold in January......so whoever comes in for Boothroyd will have a massive task, No Money,No Players....NO HOPE!

Malky Mackay (reserve team boss) has taken temporary (possibly permanate...as cheap!) charge......There is an EGM called for 1st December by two large shareholders calling for the dismissal of the Board....unfortunately not likely to succeed as they hold enough voting roghts to survive....but we will see

Bad time to be looking for a buyer. Wednesday are just about keeping out of administration and there were rumours of a big take over some months back but it just hasn't taken place. The final relegation place is very much up for grabs this year and could be any of the teams from Wednesday down.

Delighted to see Mick's Wolves doing well and also Reading (I forgive them the 7 they put past the Owls). Promoted will surely be Birmingham and Reading with Wolves (at the moment) the best bet for the other spot.

Never heard of your new manager:

Watford have named Chelsea reserve-team coach Brendan Rodgers, 35, as their new manager, following Aidy Boothroyd's recent departure.

It will be Rodgers' first experience of management at first-team level.

I also see Charlton have sacked Pardew which is hardly a suprise, especially after the drubbing by the Blunts at the weekend.

Don't know much about him either.....but someone who develops the youngsters is probably right for a selling club like Watford........what chance Boothroyd for Charlton?

Didn't Boothroyd come from a similarly inexperienced background?

IIRC, he was a reserve team coach at Leeds before getting the Watford job.

So, another South Wales (http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_div_1/7747659.stm) derby, another round of arrests, another kick in the teeth to the reputation of Welsh football fans everywhere. The game itself was excellent - end to end, both teams going for the 3 points, couple of red cards just to add to the drama. I just wish the so-called fans wouldn't keep ruining things (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/wales/south_west/7754747.stm) for the majority of people. It really is becoming a joke now.
